Around 70 cars contested the 2014 Firecracker - some good action all day with Pikey driving a blinder to win the final - several Yank Tanks in attendance notably Jonesy in an Imperial which was stopped in the end - just

Hi thanks for posting these videos, it brings back memories of when i had a go at this, at Standlake. I had an old Hillman Hunter, I spent ages on getting it ready only to have it written off on the first lap. Then a few weeks later i bought an old rover, that lasted all day but could not race after that:} I thought to myself this is to much hard work to get the vehicle ready. But this is all part of it, i enjoyed it its great fun. And yes i would like to do it again.

I could just imagine a Buick doing that, the things a tank with it reinforced engine bay and Hemi Big block V8.
