This performance song was the last song of the live on the day. (Actually, after this, there will be an encore of 3 songs...)
Anyway, they completed a live program with lots of heavy, fast songs like this. I am in awe of their ability to showcase such performance and precise instrument control on the final song. Especially the energy of drummer HARUNA and vocalist ASAMI on this day is superhuman.
For bassist MIHO, it may be a memorable event for this live to be his last stage.
And soon, on October 21, 2022 at 21:00 (Japan time), the LOVEBITES Office will announce an important video. I expect that we will probably be introduced to a new bassist (maybe even more surprises...).
We will miss Miho, but it looks like the band and we are moving on to the next step.

If you listen to the various versions of a song like "Holy War" you will hear them continually adding to it, making it even better with each performance. That perfectionism is a big reason they are such a great band.

This concert took place on March 26, 2021. At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. The concert Tour of LOVEBITES was rescheduled to March - April 2021 and took place in compliance with anti-COVID security measures: the hall was not completely filled (many people who wanted to get to the concert could not buy tickets), social distance between viewers, all spectators in masks, the audience it is forbidden to loudly express one's emotions (shouting), only applause is allowed, etc. LOVEBITES risked their health during a concert that lasted 2 hours! Unlike the audience, they were not wearing masks. In addition, during this Tour, Miyako (brunette/ guitar, piano) was 4-5 months pregnant. These ladies are professionals of the highest level! It was a Great concert 🔥!

I was a bit confused at first once I received YT notification about this video and it only mentioned Heavy Metal Dies (maybe it's the data about this performance/release). That's actually quite situation to perform under the restrictions etc. and I really respect this band and their work ethics that can be seen from this performance. I played my final exam concert that can be seen on this channel basically to an empty concert hall which was a bit frustrating and that way I can relate a bit to their situation.

@@Celion27200 I really love 'Dystopia Symphony'! This is one of my favorite LOVEBITES songs! 'Dystopia Symphony' is a world-class masterpiece and is one of the “peaks” of Miyako’s composing genius! These are Miyako’s “peaks” (in my opinion): 'Dystopia Symphony', 'Lost in the Garden', 'Soldier Stands Solitarily', 'Swan Song', 'Shadowmaker', 'When Destinies Align'. The first four songs especially show Miyako's love for classical music. After I heard 'Dystopia Symphony' in 2021, for me Miyako became the Mozart of the 21st century.

Another Great reaction to Lovebites. They are: Asami (vocals, lyrics), Haruna (drums), Midori (blond guitarist), Miyako (black hair - guitar, piano, keyboards, keytar, main composer), Miho (bass) left the band in Aug of 2021. They just announced a 'Premier' on the Lovebites official Channel, with a countdown until Friday (21st). The Wolfpack (Lovebites fanbase) is expecting a New Song with a New Bass Player! They do use backing tracks for keys and synth - mostly played by Miyako in the studio. You are right about the Classical influences. Miyako is a concert trained classical pianist. Did you ever see female band with this level of playing in Europe even in US? NONE. Female Japanese is really something.
100% agree with you!!! 👍 I would even add that the level of LOVEBITES surpasses most of the male metal bands in Europe and America in every way, with all due respect to these bands. LOVEBITES is a phenomenon in the metal world.
Yeah, That’s a really interesting point! There may be multiple reasons why the situation is like that but i really hope bands like Lovebites also inspire more women to pick up instruments too.
@ Actually there's many female musician that really good on their instruments. But when it comes to be a band, their music wasn't good. The only western female band that I think got some vibes is The Warning but still far to achieve a level like Lovebites does & there's still many Japanese female band even better than Lovebites. You should check them out.
Exactly! There are really great female musicians, intrumentalists etc. but I agree with you that there aren't really bands that are around the same level with Lovebites. I think this band was really nice to discover and it would be even more interesting to go a bit deeper into the japanese metal music. As a contrast I could take a look at the Finnish metal bands that has been successful in Japan (something like Mokoma).

Miho, bass and band founder, wanted a Western sound vs a Japanese sound so the bands songs are final mixed by Mikko Karmila and mastered by Mika Jussilka in Finland, they also work with Nightwish.
"Holy War" was written by Miho, bass and their producer Mao. All write with Miyako, black hair, having written about half with Asami, vocals the primary lyricist.
Miyako has never had guitar lessons!! she started piano at 3 yo, picked up the guitar at 17/18 yo getting a "How To" book and a guitar. Midori, ponytail didn't start playing the guitar until she was 20 yo
Relisten to this song and focus on Haruna the drummer. She is one the top drummers in the world and plays at this pace for entire concert!
There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands with about half all female, All with superb musicians and singers. So you have a lot of reactions of to do!!!
Those are really interesting facts! I kind of started too with classical piano when I was 3-4yo and switched to guitar around 13yo. That’s why it’s really exciting to take a closer look at the compositional elements and influences. Someone mentioned Swan song with piano intro, so that’ll be interesting! I have to agree that the drumming is really on point here but I’ll take another look at it and pay more attention to it.

Oh yeah, It's minor detail there as you mentioned. I had this really short moment once I was really sure where I've heard it but then once I started explaining I wasn't 100% sure anymore. Really love Sonata Arctica and I think it was one of the most popular band that my siblings and cousins used to listen to early 00's. It was like COB, Nightwish, Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica that we used to listen to.
