In Invincible Mark kisses Eve, cheating on Amber and they both agree to not speak about this again although Eve clearly wants his … company
In the mean time Amber is increasingly unhappy with Mark and his superhero duties and calls Gary to satisfy her needs
When Mark returns to Earth he runs into Amber and Gary and talks with Amber privately, expressing his belief that she deserves better and even mentions that he might pursue Eve so they agree to have one last cuddle before officially breaking up
The first person Invincible tells the news to, is actually Rex Splode who’s recovering after his encounter with the Lizard League
Later, Eve goes to visit Rex and he mentions that Invincible is single now so she heads straight for his college dorm, knocking on the door and letting herself in, looking fine as hell, saying I hear you’re single now, are we dating or what?
William makes a timely exit, leaving Mark and Eve alone to talk, and she says she’s liked Mark since they had first met and even dated William to get closer to him
But when Mark mentions that a multiverse Eve had already confessed her feelings, Eve wonders if Mark genuinely likes her or just feels sorry for her and leaves, with Mark contemplating how he fumbled the bag that hard

It wasn't a multiverse eve. It was THAT eve, just from the future.
Technically it was another timeliness Eve. She came from the future in which Mark hadn't come back yet. When they sent him back in time, the future Guardians basically splintered their history off into a seperate reality because Mark hadn't gone missing for 20 years (only five years because of one of the few dumb story decisions in the entire comic).
so what happens to the timeline?

The future Eve who helped Mark return to his own timeline after he killed Angstrom Levy isn’t the same Eve from Mark’s own timeline. Her life will not change as a result, but at least she gets to help the Eve of Mark’s timeline get the happy ending she would have wanted.

She is not toxic at all. Yeah! What she did was wrong but throughout the comics she stays loyal to mark even when he dissappear for years and she resurrects him twice after his death and she almost dies for him countless times and literally dies twice saving him. She is a wonderful character in the comics.
Mark didn’t fumbled. He set a standard for honesty in their future relationship.

Completely agree. I haven't read the comics yet, but I hear the show handles the story significantly better than the source material. Which I think is largely due to the fact that Robert Kirkman is heavily tied to the project and therefore wants to fix the mistakes he made previously. Which I dig

So its a decent chance that combined with your friends/members dying contemplating mortality, their brains aren't fully developed yet, they'll make some impulsive and just bad decisions at times (mark not knowing how to read the room is an example of this)

My man Mark really goes from Invincible to Imbecile really fast when he was younger.
It was good this happened as Mark had just broken up. Eve doesn’t deserve to be a rebound. Mark had to decide weather he really wanted her and he was conflicted on the whole personal life and superhero life. He didn’t want to make someone worry about him going off on dangerous situations like he had Amber do. And he didn’t want to disappear and miss events like Nolan did with him. He had to come to terms with that before he decided. He saw future Eve’s face when they found him. He knew that she missed him since he was missing a good portion of her life.

I always hated this part in the comics and loved how it was handled in the show. Mark and Amber had a reasonable break up and neither cheated on one another, as well as Mark not automatically getting with Eve after he finds out Eve likes him. Eve also didn’t seem like a toxic person in the show (I.e. her not dating William to get closer to Mark let’s be real kinda messed up). So far I think the show is better than the comics by a mile imo
Part of me, finds how messy some of the relationships in the comics are little more dynamic and interesting, not to say that what we got in the show is bad.

This is the one time I actually really prefer the show Canon because they weren’t together. Yes, the kiss happened, but you still had a cute moment with Rex and Eve when she brought him those I think magazines for designing or something And the cast still happened, but Amber doesn’t know about it yet and from the show Amber hasn’t gotten too close to the male friend yet.
I keep saying this, but the show is literally the author's chance to fix what he regrets
I believe he himself admits as much, such as with how unrealistic he did the OG comic's murder of the Guardians of the Globe, which is one reason he showed them being able to beat him in an altered timeline where Omniman lost the element of surprise, and also with the show having them put up an almost decent fight despite being ambushed
