- Weekend VLOG #9 Join me OGDuffy on my weekend VLOG where I undertake Game Hunting, Charity Shops and CEX all with a few pints as normal 😉.
In this weeks VLOG I look for Retro games in my local charity shops and CEX.
I also play some great games from many retro systems including classic Arcade Games.
So if retro game collecting is your thing and you enjoying classic retro arcade games then this is the video for you.
Included this week… Game of the week and a new arcade game starting with….. ‘F’.

Great video OG. I had a great find in a charity shop the other day. GTA 5 on PS4 for £1.50 and WRC6 for PS4 £1.50 traded them into CEX for £29 CEX voucher and came away with Gran Turismo 1 on PS1, Tenchu 2 PS1 and a PS1 controller all for spending £3 in that charity shop. I am a Mother Flipper haha

Castle of illusion is such a great game. I remember being impressed by the graphics back in the day. Borderlands 2 is a great game, even better when played in co-op.
Castle of Illusion is brilliant on Master System and Mega Drive different graphics feels like different games but there not much different but there still worth buying both of them 🙂👍
I really enjoyed it and got a bit further into it will probably play again this weekend too 😉🍺

Top Vlog, OG! I actually picked up Red Dead on the PS3 from CEX myself last weekend. Not quite as cheap as yours. $12 Aussie Dollars, which is about 6 quid. But a lot cheaper than the new conversion for the switch and ps4. So I brought the old PS3 out of storage and ejected the disc, and guess what game popped out? Bloody Red Dead 🤣oh well... Cider time!
😂 What are the odds. $12 isn't bad though. I replayed through red dead redemption last year on my ps3 and it is still fantastic.

The price of games or the people working in game shops is baffling me lately.
I went to CEX in Inverness, they had Actua Soccer, a game that was pretty good at the time, but it is old as f##k, yet it was in CEX window on PS1, and they were selling it for £75! But on their website, it isn't anywhere near that price?
They had a boxed SNES with the Mario All Stars bundle, and they were asking £285 for it! You can get a new Series S for £249.99 or PS5 Digital for £350.

The Space Hulk and Ultra Phase beers are lovely pal but careful you dont drink them one after the other or you may go a bit boss eyed. 😊

The PS4 needs an official controller during setup so I'm told, it won't accept a 3rd party one at setup.The 3rd party ones are fine after the setup is over though.
BTW, beside the bum attack in the Mickey game, you've got a shoot attack (A or B) which shoots apples. The apples ya gather are your ammo.

Great video as always great to see another Weekend Vlog on the channel the 9th one cant beat a good trip to the pub for a pint and a bite of lunch, that game shop you went to in Sheerness was alright those PS4 games were some good titles which is good but expensive, those hallumi fries plus chicken wings look really good i would eat them i dont like them fair rides either OG, Laya the cat looks very adorable there that Tropico 6 PS4 game is ok i heard but that bubble game looks very basic to quite honest looks a tiny bit like candy crush without clicking on the bubbles, that charity shop you went to first was rubbish no games at all but that CEX you visited was good for PS4 games tons of them but that second charity shop was also rubbish as it was the same old junk games in there that third charity shop was a tiny bit better but was mostly rubbish FIFA the 4th Charity shop you went to was bit better again that Red Dead Redempton the last charity shop was complete junk too mostly DVDs that resident evil 5 for the PS4 for £12 is disgusting CEX is cheaper, pool is a good game but £1.50 a game is bad, good pick ups you got from that charity shop speccialy the Red Dead Redemption its great that you got a PS3 for £10 on facebook marketplace, it was really intresting what F game you played on arcade machine Fire Hawk it does look very intresting for a early 2000s Arcade Game i would possibly play it, that Castle Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse for the Sega MegaDrive does look alright never played it or heard of it myself possibly may play it one time anyways i hope your having a good afternoon so far OG and keep up the great content on your channel as its so enjoyable and entertaining to watch 👍

That’s a backwards compatible PS3, you can’t throw that out! A short term fix is to reflow the solder under the RSX - not guaranteed to fix it. Lord term guarantee is to Frankenstein the console but it’s expensive. I’m looking at doing that myself for one of my PS3’s that need it.
Need to get it looked at matey know any repairers in the UK?
@@OGDuffy I’m actually sending mine off to Matt@RareThingz today to be Frankensteined. He seems to be a good guy. TheCoder is good at fixing all consoles, but doesn’t do the Frankenstein yet, which is likely what your console needs. There’s another chap recommended from computer booter - MadModz maybe? He charges £400 though.
With my autism i fxxking hate roller-coasters. I freak out done it once never again. I even hate that boat that swings side to side very high 😅 never ever again

Your PS3 has died with a YLOD indication. More than likely due to overheating over a number of years given the space your PS3 is stored.
There are a number of temporary solutions but non of them are guaranteed unless you can access the SYSCON to correctly diagnose what caused the problem.
There is no “one solution completely fixes all” which some people try to push. But there are common quick and temporary fixes by reheating the motherboard, rebelling the RSX or replacing the TOKIN/NEC capacitors. Again without knowing the true cause of “your” PS3 failure then they are not guaranteed as a permanent fix.
Such a shame matey….. I’m missing that machine was a great console and so convenient….
Will have to crack it open and see if I can do anything, but not that familiar with the workings of this console 😉🍺

Iv got secret of mana on vita the remaster. It was also released on android as well. The sequel trials of mana I think its called got a remaster as well. I haven't played that one because I can't find a decent cracked apk of it lol. Great game the first one though loved it on the Snes and just as good remake. Quite a short rpg compared to all that heavy duty modern stuff. Try that disneys speedstorm if you get a chance. Quite a tidy little kart racer. Some of the best graphics iv seen for ages on an android device. Also available for all the major consoles as well. Lol gremlin cup. I'm sure I bought that same cup from my local British heart as well. Maybe they got a joblot from a bankruptcy and divided them uo between stores
