Love your videos. I started watching for the horizontal beehives, and now I watch all of your videos.
In Korean Natural Farming, they use L.A.B. (Lactic Acid Bacteria) to spray down the floors of their chicken coops once every couple of weeks which takes away any foul odors. I watched some videos and learned how to make it myself from rice water and whole milk, and it works! We don't consume milk regularly, so, I bought the boxed Gossner whole milk from the dollar tree which is shelf stable and stores for a long time. There are no foul odors in my coop. I hope this helps you.
great idea!
Your poultry coops look great, and your compost piles, well... Makes me a little envious, although I don't even plant a regular garden any more.
Looking for an update - and photos - of the basil and the U-shaped garden...
Did you get to see the reel over on instagram about how the basil and the small garden is doing?
@@daddykirbs No, I don't use Instagram. Hope the garden is growing!
Good for you LOL. I just uploaded a Short here on CZcams just for you :)
@@daddykirbs Thank you! I love it! I know it's not as large as your other garden(s) but it's a very handy design and it's looking fantastic. Glad the tiny basil made it.
I'm about to plant some basil and other seeds (indoors) although I'm guessing that we're not going to have another frost, which is super early here in Zone 6 - last frost is usually end of May. Of course, just because I'm guessing doesn't mean I'll be right. But I'm going to be an optimist and get things going early. Welcome spring!
You can do it!!!
Hackberry, mesquite and huisache - sounds like you're from Texas.
The greatest country on Earth ;)
Fellow Texan here and I thought the same thing.
First and love your work keep it up
Woohoo! First is cool :) Thank you for the kind words of support.
@@daddykirbs thanks just wanted to say you do an amazing job
Mulch is such a miracle worker!! We get ours dumped for free from our city municipal. I had almost zero weeds in my vegetable beds last year-and it made excellent pathways that eventually created compost. Love it when your new videos pop up!!
@@AmyQuillin Hey! I totally agree that mulch in the garden and pathways is very good. You have to be careful about what mulch you use in garden beds if you can't afford to stack it deep. Depending on the source, shallow mulch in a bed can promote some weeds. Deeper is better if you have room. It's good to hear from you!
