I was in jrotc in hs and taught myself. It wasnt until my first summer of hs that was taught this at what we called mini boot camp. Basically a ruggediliyary summer camp. While on AF AD I had to teach everyone in my flight how to do it.
There called Blousing Rubbers that's probably why you can't find anything on them 😂. There like a scrunchie that helps you cuff your pants leg around the boot to give a more professional appearance. You'll learn about Sun's Out Guns Out rolled Sleeves and Boot Cuffs when you join .

Hey Redberryweo! I am a brand spanking new cadet in NC wing. I have done everything but my drill test for my first promotion. I was wondering what sources you recommend for me to learn basic drill movements. I know that the first people I go to for help are my element leaders, but I can't really get individualized help since everything is virtual.
I have two videos on drill and ceremonies so far! I recommend taking a look at those. If you have any questions about maneuvers or anything, I would be more than happy to help!
How do you feel about the changeover from ABU to OCP uniforms? Personally I like the digital tiger-stripes and black boots and was a nice differentiation between the USAF and Army. And I think it would’ve been nice for CAP to continue using them since it’s technically civilian and think the blue labels look better on the ABU than the multicam OCP. And I do like the multicam, its great for infantry, SF, etc.. but just doesn’t make much sense for airmen to me. Should be tarmac grey!
As far as I'm aware, we are not transitioning to OCPs as of posting this comment (July 2023). My understanding is that Vanguard is the only place that members can still easily get uniforms, and some units are starting to struggle to share ABUs with new members. The benefit of using OCP would be that it would be easier to get uniform pieces again. Also keep in mind that there would be a transition window where both uniforms are authorized, similar to how they phased out BDUs a few years ago.
