Tidbit on Jimin- he’s got martial arts experience in kendo (sword) & is a black belt in taekwondo. Thank you for reacting to this- it really brought out some emotions for ARMY. I’ve watched it over and over -it’s gorgeous. We do hope he does more of his contemplation dance

@NAIATHEDRAGON When Jimin was young, he saw an anime, One Piece, and wanted to be like Zoro. He told his mother he wanted to be the greatest swordsman in the world. Jimin took kumdo, which is essentially Kendo, but Korean, for like 7 - 8 years!

Jimin is the only member of BTS who is a classically trained dancer and was top student he also learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. He has a beautiful voice too, he's a very kind and caring person, he comforts the other members when they are sad. He puts others before himself. What is very hard is that Jimin receives death threats and is subject to hate, vile comments and is often misgendered. He was ill one time and had issue singing, haters used that one time as proof he can't sing live which is so ridiculous. He has honey smooth vocals. He's an amazing dancer too.

❣Jimin doesn’t just dance ever so breathtaking stunningly, absolutely mesmerizing, but also was involved in the choreography! So amazing, beyond belief, on another level, vocalist & dancer, as well as equally outstanding, lyricist, composer, & producer. Not only that but whatever Jimin creates, becomes iconic legendary masterpieces. Huge successes, breaking records non-stop! Like his solo album FACE, and just now working on a new project, filming (possibly) MV in Hungary, arriving in Budapest just a few days ago, which Jimin already just came back from, being greeted by one of the largest crowd of fans at airport in Korea ever! ❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”.
Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling.
Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have. Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance.

❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! It’s funny you mention what a heck of a swordsman he would be because in fact, he WAS on his way to being an expert swordsman with his intensive training in Kendo - a Japanese martial art based in swordsmanship (apparently he completed a significant number of levels). Altogether, he has had 8 years of martial arts training in Hapkido and has a black belt in Taekwando!
