Riddle me this, I gotta figure it out
Are they laughing at me
Because I'm prone to fear and doubt
Am I messed up, am I loud
Well eat my dust that's all I am a speck out in the crowd
I'm trying to clean up the mess I made
But the towel I used to soak up my worry it just went up in flames
You see I got a conscience like gasoline
I could siphon shit out, fuck it and leave
But, I fuel the fire with everything they said it's stuck in my mind
You're better off dead
If you got the keys then start the car and
Drive as far as you can
If you got the blood then you got the heart to
Give yourself a chance
Seems like we've been so scarred
Some people call it art
I hope you make peace with your pain
And never lose your flames
You call yourself a doctor, you swear you got the cure
Prescribe yourself with medication when you're feeling insecure
I know the world is dark, but you've got the light
Even sitting in the closet chilling with the skeletons you fight
I guess you found the meaning of giving up on me
I'm not the person that you thought I was
I broke the ice I revealed the scandal
But the water's deeper than you're able to handle
Oh that's probably why you hit me twice
Said no son of mine, get out of my life
It's my fault it's what I deserve
I needed a blessing but I got a curse
If you got the keys then start the car and
Drive as far as you can
If you got the blood then you got the heart to
Give yourself a chance
Seems like you've been so scarred
Some people call it art
I hope you make peace with your pain
And never lose your flames
Misunderstood, I'm misunderstood
I will live to my fullest because I owned my name the best I could
Misunderstood, we are all misunderstood
Everybody own your name I wish you would, I wish you would
If you got the keys then start the car and
Drive as far as you can
If you got the blood then you got the heart to
Give yourself a chance
Seems like you've been so scarred
Some people call it art
I hope you make peace with your pain
And never lose your flames
Seems like you've been so scarred
Some people call it art
I hope you make peace with your pain
And never lose your flames - Hudba
"I hope you make peace with your pain & never lose your flames."
Seriously... such incredible words.
Someone beloved within our community lost their flame today, those words hit so much harder today. the chances of this song popping up in my mix is crazy.
His voice is probably the most sweetest voice I've heard, it hurts my heart
agreed 😭😭
yes
mkayalright try listening to jonny craig. Its tyler's infuence
My heart is already fucked up
@@karlikot I love both of their singing styles but sucks with all the controversy surrounding both of them.
I just separate the music from the artists these days, I mean look at Michael Jackson...
"If you got the blood then you got the heart to give yourself a chance."
This song has helped me through so much and kept me from doing something stupid. I owe Issue my life. I have respect for all of them. They are amazing people and artists. Thank you so much Issues.
issues is the definition of a perfect band.
yaaasss
Deep and High voices makes it perfect
+DANNY DANIEL And instruments
and dont forget the amazing messages they have
Qhwo That boys it's cool to wear tights?
32 years old still working on making peace with my pain. Tyler did so much good, it's a shame he went out the way he did.
The only the we can do is continue to try and make the world a better place than we left it, despite our mistakes.
This band pushes so many boundaries, and it works. Don't judge in a few years this could be something dozens of bands are trying to replicate. Look at ADTR when they started people said their sound was stupid too. Now they're one of the biggest acts in pop punk/ hardcore. And is the fact that this video portrays gay people that big of a deal? It's the 21st century get the fuck over it
exactly dude. i think they will be that type of band. but on one hand, its like theyre creating a new genre, but on the other hand i feel like no one is gonna be able to do it like they do so im curious to see what happens. either way Issues is killing it.
If Issues becomes a new genre, all I ask is for: instruments that don't sound like shit and could be easily replaced by synth, lyrics from the heart and not from the top 40, and for both vocalists to be a part of the song, not just a singer with a screamer tacked on. And just a side note, ADTR may be big and listened to by many, but just as many people -- including ADTR -- will agree they are not the best band out there. Just because a band is big, does not mean they are most musically inclined and, unless one would like mediocre talent, bands should strive to be one a level much higher than that of whatever is hot atm, such as ADTR or ISSUES.
Okay people say issues created their own genre. Not really. Linkin Park has the same basic elements that issues has. I love issues way more than Linkin Park. And issues has added a little twist to their music that other people dont have. They didnt create a new genre, they modernized it.

Jason Hamm Alex Connor Never said ADTR was good. I find them enjoyable, but if I had to choose between them, or say BMTH, I'm going with a band who has more meaningful lyrics and a more diverse sound. I think Issues sound is more of a sub-genre of what LP started. LP has more of an alternative rock influence. Plus Tyler's voice is more mainstream than Chester's, boy band like I guess which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And Unfortunately most of the really good bands aren't even all that popular. Take Tonight Alive, Anarbor, New Years Day or SECRETS. That's just my opinion of course, but I think they're all under appreciated and compared to most mainstream artists, they''re much more talented
Oh man, i used to listen to this song every single day of 11th grade, coming home, doing my homework, thinking about my impossible love, chilling with my friends, what a memories, thank you Tyler Thank you Michael, thank you Issues
This was actually a decent song. Weird ass kind of music, but im always open to new things.
Glad i gave these guys a second chance.
i’m proud of you man thanks :)
Listening in 2016 because Tyler's voice never gets old. It does things to me. Amazing things. Yeah. Amazing. Things.
My parents say all metal and rock is about suicide and is evil. This song is an example about giving hope. As someone with mental illness and have to deal with homophobes and fat shaming regular, this makes me so happy. It makes me feel less alone. This makes me feel like it's okay to be who I am and I'm more than my mental illness. Issues gives me hope, they let me know that it'll all be okay in the end.
this isn't metal or rock, i think its more pop punk
+Pierce The Horizon Chemical Brides c: did you just call this pop punk. Not suprised you don't know anything considering your name
+Pierce The Horizon Chemical Brides c: it's metalcore or post hardcore. I'd say more metalcore cause the tuning. Issues is an amazing band.
***** Yeah! There other songs are metal but this song is more post hardcore X'D
I know! They think just because their I'd screaming that is satanic but if they looked up the lyrics maybe those people will understand
I think the phrase "I hope you make peace with your pain" is the most comforting thing I've heard in a long time. I don't care who you are, what your sexual orientation is, whether you love or hate this song, what colour you are, whatever gender you were assigned, whatever you're going through, who ever you choose to be now, but I sincerely hope that you, the person reading this, makes "peace with your pain".
I saw these guys last night and they were the best band I have ever seen in concert. What "Disappeared" played, Tyler got emotional and wished Rachel a happy birthday. Everyone was crying. It was insane. I loved them and I also saw them last year as well although I didn't know them that much. But they are definitely worth paying to see!
When**
THIS MADE ME REALLY HAPPY I CANT EVEN
You can't even...? What can't you do?
Adovock can you not
***** But I'm just trying to figure it out! Can I help you with something? Do you need help? Just let us know what you "can't even" please!
Adovock you are so stupid go away
***** Wow. All I'm attempting to do us help a poor damsel in distress. Oh well. Hopefully all of your problems figure themselves out! Best of luck, my dear!
And another thing, it's hard to describe a song like this without jumping to teenage problems. The two scenarios were pretty perfect actually. Issues' members are young men surrounded by a mostly YOUNG fanbase, it makes sense why they chose a more "teenage angst" feel to the music video. Personally, I liked it, it fit and it was logical, but if you don't like it you don't like it.
PVRIS + ISSUES + BMTH = Best Concert I ever attended (Well except for ACDC maybe haha!)
SAMME
+Ethan Arrowood True true I LOVE Drown by BMTH
not really, bmrth sold out.Issues is alright and.idk the other band
+Nick Rush Yeah, it's not like they wanna experiment with their music, which they do with every album. They totally sold out lol
What does bmth stand for? Can't find em on Spotify... need new music :)
I just came into high school when I heard this and I’m bout to be 27 now. I still love this song
Wow I needed my Issues Tissues while watching this.
Can you buy my a box?
Hahaha me too
Could you get me a few Issues Miss Yous while you're there as well
I got issues, I'd like some tissues while saying I missues
Oh.. My.. 😍💕
Love issues too much.. 😌💕🙌
Well it was a good run boys
Your damn right about that
how did they fuck up their latest album I dont understand
@@souslicer it's got nothing to do with the album
What?? This is fucking gold. ♥️
@@undergroundrolemodels6523 He's not talking about this song.
This song IS DEEPER than just gays . okay ? Its about never losing hope and embracing who you are even if someone has a problem
preach it m8
MusicWillFind DEEPER. Pun intended?
MusicWillFind jeez I wonder why they showed more than just gays then?
What I can obviously tell shown was Skater kids, a girl looking at women in magazines and a gay person. But of course the only thing that stood out to you was the kissing boys.
+Maramorha they said that because that's all people were paying attention to in the comments. Know what you're talking about before you comment kthnx.
Amen!!
Holy shit the respect I have for this band is huge.
My favorite song from the album. I have the lyrics engraved in my heart and this video shows the hooligans in them.
Now that I've seen this video, I finally understand what this song is saying. It made me tear up. I used to hate Issues until their new album was released. The meaning that's been put into it is amazing. You go Tyler Carter for showing the world how it really is.
This....is probably the BEST music video I have seen in my life. Even though I loved the song, the end of the video when the girl realizes that she doesn't need to look like those models and when the guy realizes that he isn't a abnormal for being gay/bi and that his BF supports him even if his dad doesn't...that just made my day :)
RIP ISSUES doesn’t feel real
This band has never failed to keep me on my feet and satisfied! They're fucking killing it right now. They're changing the scene and making a real name for themselves. Keep it up, boys! See you this summer!
that light voice with the heavy screaming is GODLY
Honestly until I saw the video I never made the connection with sexual identification. This song has always been about accepting your pain and struggles and fighting through it. For me depression and trying to be happy for my family and friends. Music is for everyone.
thank god i got my issues tissues next to me
You guys do realize Tyler Carter is bisexual right? He came out and admitted it. If it were two girls kissing in the video you guys would go insane for that and talk non stop how beautiful it was, but here it is two guys and suddenly it's a crime. Homosexuality exists, it has existed, always will. Nobody should feel closed off or ashamed for being born who they are. This is my favorite song from this whole album, amazing lyrics, video, and song in general. Kudos Issues.
I thought Michael was the one that came out
Tyler Mcgilvery Nope, Tyler did. I'm not sure if Michael did
Deion Mitchell Michael has a gf
***** doesn't mean he isn't bisexual
He is straight though.
I can't stop listening to thissssss. This is the first song I've heard by this band other than Mad at Myself.
'I hope you find peace with your pain.'
:)
I was listening to Crown The Empire when this came on right after. I'm a really late fan but they are now my favorite band and I'm going to see them in 2 months with CTE. They are one of the best bands I've ever heard and I hope they don't stop making music for a long time despite the fact that I found them so late.
As a GAY AMERICAN who once felt self conscious about myself after being shoved in lockers and stuff thrown at me I love the message and song way to go guys
Sorry that happened but I'm glad you came out of it stronger. I was one of the few people that tried to stop all that nonsense from happening. I'm not gay but some of my best friends are, got into countless fights but never got in trouble because I was defending someone else. It always seems to work out if your doing the right thing. Kudos to you bro
Man you all disgusting
Hey man it’s cool it don’t matter as long as your cool your just cool
This song burgs back so many memories. Good times man
As someone dealing with alcohol and addiction iv heard this song 1000 times before and “I hope you make peace with your pain, and never lose your flames” made me break down crying right now
Anyone 2019?
Saw drink about it then I came back to this song.
Tyler's amazing just how much he improves and finally being true to who he is.
Loves you lot man greetings from ph
Its been a while that a song like this has hit me so hard. I had the worst emotional breakdown when I saw these guys last Friday. It wasnt only a sad breakdown but also a feeling of happiness and hope. It really helped though because i held alot in these past few months since senior year started. I've been through bad shit with parents, fake friends, heartbreak and not knowing who I am. When I heard this song for the first time in summer, it really made me feel connected to the band. I wish more "normal people" would understand that this stuff isnt "emo music" and that the screaming is just another way of letting out your anger in a positive way.
Oh my gosh, this song helped me through so much. The message behind it is so positive and I don't understand how the rest of society can just bash it without actually looking at the lyrics. I respect this band so much. Tyler Carter's artist profile made me have so much respect for him especially when he talks about how some of us need music and lyrics to help us deal with life. We all understand each other. Society is missing out on positive music like this.
I don't know if I can get sick of this album. I love it every fucking time.
"Misunderstood. I'm misunderstood." The best beginning to a bridge EVER!!!
I've seen hundreds of bands live and this one is one of the best. They're all incredibly talented.
Dude, i had chills throughout the whole video.
Tyler just hits so hard lyrically speaking
Absolutely love this song. Helped me through a really hard time I was going through and want to seek treatment. The whole song is inspiring, and made me not want to be held back any longer by the pain, and suffering I went through these last five years.
These guys are just thee greatest band ever to walk this earth! Seriously, as a fellow musician, the effort they put into their work is outstanding. Especially every single piece of small detail that comes out of Ty's keyboard, keeping it fresh and new in each song. And every single drum beat Josh has come up with could not fit anymore perfectly. Whether its off snares, odd cymbal patterns or just something more simple. Skye and AJ's guitar tracks do it for me, being a guitarist. I just cannot get enough of what they play. The style is so broad, djenty all the way through to a sense of hardcore. And finally Mr Carter and Mr Bohn... say no more. There's no exact positioning of vocal changes, they sing where it matters most for which vocal range can emphasis the lyrics the best. Not to mention the most amazing vocal experience your ears could ever hear. No plan of attack just all in passion. Issues is without a doubt 20/10 hands down!
I like the message and it compliments the song very well. Love you Issues.
I will miss this
same
I miss it so much.
I heard of Issues a while back but never really listened to them and just wow. Why didn’t I listen to them sooner! They’re so unique and different it’s amazing
This was the first song I ever heard by them and I instantly fell in love and they became one of my favorite bands. I went to many of their concerts and meet and greets and have such amazing memories from them. It makes me so sad to know that now things will never be the same because of what they did to Michael. I get heartbroken knowing I'll never get to hear any of my favorite songs by them live again in its true authenticity. It bums me out so much because I genuinely cared for this band so deeply and every single member. It sucks to let go of this band, but I cannot imagine myself listening to their new music without him.
What happens if you don't have the keys?
Jin Gang then you won't be able to drive as far as you can.
Yeah, DUH.
Hotwire it.
You find new keys. :)
Val Salas uber
Absolutely beautiful
The song, the messages, tyler, just everything
This still sounds so fresh. I honestly could listen to issues, and Your Favorite Franchise on a loop and be happy.
"I hope you make peace with your pain" is such a beautiful and welcome sentiment. Still my favourite Issues song.
I was fine up until the couple went up in flames.
Then the waterworks came.
This was a beautiful video, guys. ♥ Keep it up.
Alguien sigue escuchando esto en 2019?
Extraño este Issues, con Michael💔
Aunque ahora van a sacar nuevo álbum, y solo espero que sea tan genial como los anteriores.
Siempre vuelvo a esto
I love them because they're motivational, they're songs are about life, not just romantic relationships, but self love, friendship, and parental. I think that makes them unique ❤
watching them for the first time at Senayan Jakarta around 2014, without not knowing who they were back then,
after watched theirs concert, i listen to theirs song almost everyday
hell yeah josh! killin it on the drums!
Metal fans have always been some of the most accepting people I've ever known (except for the various christian based metal bands who's fans are 1 step away from kkk ie. For Today nutjobs) and have welcomed all aspects of human nature into their circle. Thank you issues for making the music that inspires us to be strong. :)
sorry but not true at all. 99% of metal fans will hate you if you like anything other than ridiculously heavy metal.
ThatOneVideoGamer You're clearly one of those people. Schmuck. -_-
Music fans need a rule of conduct like sportsmanship. General respect for the art form. If we had that, people wouldn't pigeon hole themselves into one genre, but people like what they like and damn anyone else who has alternative tastes. Kinda sad in general if ya think about it.
I couldn't agree more! Oh and Stevie Wonder is the shit! haha I'm gonna have to go back and re-listen to his classics.
havoren EEEEEH! hahahaha I've gotta remember that... Although it does feel a little racist. xD
STILL HERE! this song is fire
once again congratulations guys on being the best band on the planet. Issues is my favorite band. Tyler Carter & Micheal Bohn are my number 1 inspirations for my clean/unclean vocals respectively. i have been following them since day one i a path less traveled and issues since day one and will continue to do so. thank you guys for everything you do for us, the fans cannot sho enough appreciation.
Didn't know this was coming out and just found it today! Issues, the band that has been doing great since the beginning. This music video is amazing and I loved it!
This video is saying be yourself dont let people bring that down. Don't let the majority change your opinion if you are in minority
Favorite band for a reason. Everything they write is just so good!
One thing Issues is great at is finding the perfect amount of lyrics for Tyler to sing and Michael to sing, They are awesome and get better every year.
Tyler's voice does more runs in this song than my body has my entire life
this is such a beautiful EVERYTHING OK ITS JUST AMAZING
this music video gave me the feels 100%, the song already gets me enough but this video.. god damn, thank you issues.
Still here. This song saves me everytime ❤
The most amazing pop-worthy voice, and the most non-chalant screaming dude on a bicycle. Greatest team ever. Also, I'm gay. Bet you guys weren't expecting that, huh?
+Jason Voorhees Pop-worthy... most pop music is vapid and lacking whereas this is so full of emotion and sends a good message and it kicks ass. I wouldn't disgrace Tyler with that comment.
TheEtherealPancake... That was spot-on. But what I meant by "pop-worthy" was that his voice sounded like it could be in a pop or RnB song. But that doesn't mean he deserves to be one of those cash-thirsty leeches. Tyler is much better than that, and the same goes for the entirety of Issues.
well I wasn't expecting that from Jason Voorhees
Someone told me to listen to this, I did actually expect you and everyone else who comes here frequently to be gay after hearing the music.
+TheEtherealPancake Tyler has a very poppy voice and style of singing. Issues generally have fairly poppy undertones, especially during tylers cleans. Even more so than Woe is Me did. We get it. You despise pop music. Doesnt mean issues or any other band you may or may not like isnt a little bit poppy.
And okay jason youre gay. We had no reason to expect you being one way or another.
I used to label ISSUES the "Justin Bieber" of metalcore, and I thought they were just another popular band that only focused on creating lyrics that appealed to teeny boppers, with the main focus on Tyler, but with thanks to a friend, I was able to see how creative these guys really are. After delving into the rise records profiles on tyler and michael, I really discovered there incredible story, and how it's not just tyler carter that leads this band, but michael bohn is truly the secret sauce in making them great as well. really hoping these guys achieve what they need to achieve and be on top of the world. From a huge post hardcore and metal core "mark" like myself. They deserve every ounce of fame there getting..
Aaron Beaudoin Check our Dead By April. They’ve been labelled the metalcore version of the backstreet boys.
i havent listened to this song in a year, being able to re-experience hearing it for the first time is a blessing
I love these guys! Music like this helped me so much through my depression. I didn't know anyone else who listed to Issues, until I was in hospital. I was in a psych ward for 15 days, and I heard this song playing out loud from another guys portable speaker who had also been admitted due to a suicide attempt. We bonded over this awesome music and talked. It was something I will never forget. I always think of him, wonder if he's doing well now!
Probably one of the best music videos I've ever seen. Such a deep meaning behind the song.
That chick is fuckin' gorgeous.
it's : @MishysWords
diy lover shes ight
really cool
+donnyinlakai561 You could even say that she's...... smoking
shes ight seen better
I swear every Issues music video hits the heart right where it should. Fucking respect.
Love this song, I've got "never lose your flame" tattooed on my right forearm, always reminds me to never give up no matter how hard things get ❤️
this song's really amazing and it gives me goosebumps every time when i listen to it
This song and video sends out a strong message, and we LOVE it. Props, guys!
Makes me cry everytime. I relate to both of the stories.
Damn. Issues need to come back.
Wow first song I have ever heard by them and im amazed
This is sick af it’s like DGD goes djent
Favorite song on the album, one of my favorite bands. So stoked for the acoustic EP and especially for the acoustic version of this song with vocals from Ben Barlow, lyke omg
This song makes me cry every time .i absolutely love this song
I'm actually happy they made this their music video. That's a bold move. Honestly, the second I heard the song I related it to Tyler/sexuality. I don't see why the gay couple is such a surprise to everyone.
I loved this song when i was 13 😭.....
Still do 😭😭😭
The first time I heard this song, (when they first released it), it made me feel so good about myself. That's when Issues became my favorite band, because all it took was one of their songs to make me feel like, maybe I wasn't all that bad. I didn't need to change who I was, and the person I am is the only person I need to be. Issues, and this song in general, helped me accept myself, which was my biggest challenge.
Man the acoustic of this song is going to be so good.
I feel like this song ends too soon. Maybe it's because I enjoy it so much
i am not for gay rights nor against it, but way to go issues for being original and putting two black gays/bi's in a rock video.
***** he probably doesnt give a shit, meaning hes neutral.
***** on the fence. You know, he's neither for it, or against it. Stop probing so you can get an argument.
***** Bullshit, you are clearly looking for a debate. If not then you would have understanded it when he said he is neither for nor against it.
***** dude chill out... he just asked a question and left it as is after he got a response...lol no need for people to attack him
maybe they are friends with two gay black guys dick
This is such a good song and the video is very heart warming. As it teaches us we should not discriminate people for the way they are and that we should learnt to accept them instead of putting them down for the person they are as they are unable to change that.
this song is so beautiful.. it makes so much sense to me, it brings tears to my eyes.
Great video. This was very well done.
''I hope you make peace with your bae!''
its pain. it sounds like bae
Yes, I know it's pain. It just sounds like bae.
I read that word for word without realising as the line in the song played. Made my day c':
lmao that's what I thought it was at first WKDHAJBDBS
cool story bro
I'm seeing these guys live in two weeks. Technically I'm going for All Time Low, and Issues is one of the opening acts, but I wanted to see what I would be watching and I'm really liking it. There's a lot of pop influence but it also has that hardcore sound I love. This song in particular I really like because of the message and how they portray it. All around I'm excited to see them I'm really liking their sound🙌
seen them lastnight here in Saint Paul, Minnesota. They were so amazing. ♡
Thanks for coming to Minnesota. See you next time.
Perfection, nuff said... :D
I LOVE ISSUES!!!
This is such a powerful music video, great message, never been so happy with a band :)
I think this is the song I've been missing in my life..
I think I actually just found that self-security I've been missing..
I was running out of hope..
And I've just found it again.
thank you Issues.
one of my best mates introduced me to this band on our way home from work...needless to say he get my type of music and loving this band right now
