If no one's said it, you can just turn off wifi/put on airplane mode to test the maps before you go out into the wilderness.
Chase's burrito song was super cute and I'm glad you had a great time. I've never heard of this place but it was beautiful.
But if you want to post on a schedule and also not feel pressure, it's ok to post some "lower quality" videos. I honestly think most people like Q7A tip videos etc once in a while, stuff that's easier and quicker to do than these adventure videos. Safe travels.

Love that you are getting out in the wild nature. You'll be hooked soon. I camp in the back of my SUV as well. Just a couple things to consider purchasing if dispersed camping...well I have a whole list, but will leave it to a few. Waterproof matches, bear spray, handwarmers and firestarters. All can be found at Costco or Cabelas. Oh and a book or 2.

You need a paper book and Marshmallow for heaven sakes😎🤓. Don’t forget us in Colorado 👍❤️
You should think about getting a GPS emergency locator, just in case you do break down etc. in a remote area where you don't have cell service and/or are out hiking by yourself, there are some that aren't that expensive, depends on what services you want, also some require monthly fees but you can do a month to month activation. I retire next year and i'm going to start traveling and I will definitely travel with one for just that reason, no cell service, also I'm older and I need to think about possible health issues.
I strongly agree. I retired a few years ago but still cycle and use my mountain bike in the UK. I always take my Garmin InReach Mini with me for emergencies.

Also (commenting while I watch) no gum won’t help altitude sickness. I think you’ll be fine unless you go over 10k quickly from sea level like I did once. If you get sick, just go down and head up slowly

Love your adventures. I lived for some years in CO and yes, the weather can turn on a dime in the mountains but the views are great. The wild animals early on in your video looked like mule deer. Be safe out there.
Another great video Christine. I live in the UK and whilst there are some beautiful places to visit here, I do love to see the natural beauty of land around the USA, thank you for sharing it with us. I’d like to see you go Off-Grid more often but if you do, please invest in a satellite communicator for emergencies - it’s essential in my opinion. I use a Garmin InReach Mini when cycling/mountain biking. Please give a big hug to my furry on-line buddy, Chase the dog!

It's all I know since I live in the rockies.. And yes they are rocky 🤣 even rockier on the trails to the mountain peaks.
Also it's made me realize over the years that I want /need a 4runner for the Roads. 😅
Meditation is great, also walk around barefoot. It really helps your inner soul. Make peace with yourself and recharge your mind :}

Next time you go to bear country at least have a large can of bear spray. Bears run 35mph. That Chase is so adorable.

As a delivery person for the last 30 years I know all about finding places with paper maps or just winging it. Beautiful video once again and don't stress out trying to appease us we will be here till when you say when! Be safe and relax a little!😊
You should have an RC car or trail truck with you and you can run it and charge it. And Chase can watch it or follow it slowly. ✌

I'm getting ready to start going on my own solo road trips. Unfortunately none of my friends/family are into car camping or able to go. Maybe I need new friends?
I do want to go to places like this but would definitely prefer it to be with someone instead of solo. Might check out vanlife meetups like someone suggested.

I grew up reading and using paper maps (only 36) I prefer them honestly gps is easier agreed but in moments like this I’m glad I can read a map
Utilize Google offline maps to supplement your paper map. Use it all the time on off-road adventures

I was very fortunate to grow up and am fortunate to still live in and around the Rocky Mountains. It is easy to take these views and experiences for granted but after watching this video Christine, I took a moment to look outside, take it all in, and say thank you.

As usual, this was a wonderful video, that I thoroughly enjoyed watching! In part because it was an unknown location that I know I will not get to, but also that it reminded me of mountain area trips in Austria and Switzerland. All the fast weather changes… sunshine one minute but than snowfall the next… warmth and then plunging cold. And of course the wildlife too. Laughed right out loud when I saw the marmot on the rocks😀. That is what they call them in Europe but we call them groundhogs, and they frolic all around the mountain areas there.
Have traveled with my husband, as well as in groups, but also on my own, and have shared your same emotions of not having coverage and not really knowing where you are or what to expect, and nobody to ease the stress etc.
You handled it all beautifully and were able to thoroughly enjoy your amazing surroundings, and describe it all so well to all of us. Don’t ever question the job that you do on your videos. They are always top notch, interesting, enlightening and engaging!!💕 Thank you for all that you put into your work, so that we all can also experience your adventures! After dealing with enough headaches of a bad situation (in your case a miserable office job) it forces you to make a change. I'm teetering on the fence about trying out the car stuff and tried the other day it's just I'm so used to filling my free time on a laptop in a house that when I was in the field experimenting with the idea I just went to a couple of stores and sat in a parking lot for 20 minutes and then went home. I doubt myself thinking it'll be the same scene instead of something different from what I've seen.

I look forward to your well made videos. I do hope you keep bear spray expensive but very important thing to have. My family loves to hike came up to a Mother grizzly and her cubs with no warning around a bend in Glacier in the late winter. Bison are faster than you think as well. So be well informed and safest to have that spray. God bless to you and sweet Chase.
