Queen did not try to be Tina so, don't make bad comments without knowing the reasons of why she was invited to sing there. she is a singer and has two albums which aren't hip-hop or rap. The Dana Owens Project and Travlin' Light. both are really good but she says next album will be hip-hop cause she got to bring the truth back to these industry cats.

She's already released two jazz-influenced albums to critical acclaim and toured with that material, she already transcended beyond rapping years ago. If anything I would say that her singing voice is less suited to this particular song because she's a bit more of a smooth, jazz singer, in comparison to Ms. Turner's voice, which is a bit edgier and raucous.
Latifah Is capable of that tune and so much more but remains mired in her hiphop roots which kind of knocks this performance down a notch with its lack of class. Her voice is very close to Tina's and she could dupe anything she did - I would love to hear her try a serious attempt at "what's love Got to do with it?". Latifah should have chosen that tune.
