The fact that I paused my planning cosplay of every helena bonham carter and then two different versions of helena bonham carter herself AND hbcing my whole wardrobe because part 2 of this came out today.

We understand the pain of the domino analogy! We're currently working on our wedding dress and had this same issue, only to run into into a width of fabric issue that made us have to repattern our skirt!
Thank you for giving an image to tell when spoilers were over. I can kinda read lips and easily get fixed onto things I'm interested in. It gave me something to distract myself with. That was very helpful. ❤
I love love love this work vlog format!! It's so cool that you incorporated crochet into your cosplay! As someone who does that a lot in his own cosplays, sometimes it feels like the craft doesn't have its place in costume making, so it's so awesome to see it in others' work!!! I think the texture of the yarn looks so beautiful in those wings! I can't wait to see the final product!!
wing suggestion--- You're boning your corset, right? May not make some extra channels in your corset that can hold boning you can remove/put back. You can then sew your boning into your wings and then slide the long ends into the channels to keep them in place.

maybe for the crochet wings, try raffia, silk, or linen yarn? something lightweight with a teeny bit of shine so they mimic feathers. dont know if itll actually work, but i feel like itll match the vibe! if you want it fluffy like down feathers, you can do mohair or yarn with a bit of a fuzzy halo around it (but theyre much harder to frog, so id avoid it if you are running out of patience 😅)

I use etsy a lot because you can find unique things on there, but the shipping is usually the same or more than what I want to order if it's outside of my country. Shipping is a pain! Velvet usually has a nice sheen to it so that could stand in for glittery fabrics.
