They say there is 7 wonders in the world..... Bullshit! There is 8! Aurora! And 8 is Aurora's favorite number ... For eternity.... Coincidence? I think not!
5:13 this part is the best she vocalizes the part of the song, I believe it's a glissando because she goes up to the highest note... AMAZING PERFORMANCE 😍
Yeah, that was her hitting that high note. You closed your eyes through that part though. Watch it again, but keep your eyes on her. I do love this song. And yes, this is the best concert. It was probably one of the best I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot over the years) Glad you liked it. Now you need to hear "Under stars" and " Little boy in the grass" from Nidarostomen.
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts Little boy in the Grass is a special song too. It is dedicated to the relatives of the 77 victims of a rampage in Norway. Aurora lost a friend there too.
I usually think of Aurora's movements as a kind of channeling--channeling the beauty and wisdom right out of the words she is singing. So that we the listeners not only get the meaning from her words by way of their definitions, but we derive meaning from her words by them being physically expressed as well.
Yes.. The acoustics must have been awesom.. Every time I put this consert on I turn my volume up to try to get some of the same feeling.. But no.. Not good enough..😋 It is epic.. She is beautiful and breathtaking in this consert. 🤗
I realy think... you grasp it bro :))).. You are a empath.. iv been waching.. sins the start :). Giving you love :). From a Viking to a potensial... ;)
Any other venue, Aurora would be all over the stage at the energetic end of this song. She "toned it down" for the cathedral - lol! Tell you what, though, I often think how I'd would have loved to be a fly on the wall at rehearsals for that concert. :)
Great, great reaction again. Thx. June 15 Aurora turns 25. Please honor her with another great reaction. My suggestion: See her go wild on this song and Warrior live at La Cigale, Paris 2018. The clip starts with her having this cosy little conversation with her fans. Hoping...
Yes, my friend. The acoustic reverb in Nidarosdomen is ca 8 seconds (!). The room was also built to boost low frequencies and filter the higher, thus the tail reverb promotes the deeper frequencies. Thereby creating the illusion that the deeper sounds grow out of the high pitch sounds. So here goes a nod to the sound technicians. You have a string orchestra. You have a male choir and one of the three mechanical pipe-organs booming. (Remember the 1000-year-old room was designed for pure unaided vocal sound). On top of that, you have an electronica band and Aurora being "mic'ed up". Inside a 100x50 meter (340x160 ft) with a colossal arched ceiling some 22 meters above (75 ft) "echo chamber". Your average American football pitch would fit inside. But with an 8-second reverb, and up to half a second of delayed sound (depending on your location). One simply can not just boom the sound out from a set of speakers, because it would get murky in an instant. And of obvious reasons, that gigantic church organ has absolute massive fans blowing physical air through the pipes, so that needs anything but amplification. Also, it is located like 40 meters away from where Aurora is standing, we are talking more than a tenth of a second delay in sound - coupled to all sorts of interesting bouncing reverb patterns. With so many sources of sound, it is mostly about controlling the natural reverb to avoid everyone developing cacophonic insanity.
Very interesting! Just curious: Is it possible then that the best «technical» audio quality is actually from the soundtrack of the video? Or is there one (or several?) locations in the cathedral where you are not that distracted by the extremely long reverb? It must have been a very different sound experience depending on where you are seated in the 3 ailes…? Anyway I would have payed «anything» for a ticket to that concert!
another "one of my favs". i really need to make a top 5 or 10. how do you choose with so many great songs though? thx HxC! heres a link to the concert in 1080p if you don't want to use the Legendado. czcams.com/video/cFNzlWiZpaE/video.html
Thx for next reaction. Maybe this time I would recommend Little Boy in the Grass from the same concert in Nidarosdomen :). There is also second great version of this song from Mahogany Session, but it is more raw acoustic and very emotional, but I think I would probably recommend from Nidarosdomen for a first listening.
“Speak to me, speak to me,
With looove in your voice.
Make for me, make for me,
A soooft universe…..”
Everything Aurora touches is gold.
Even at the risk of repeating myself over and over again .... i love this lady. And I like your reaction videos of her.
Yeah, same. Aurora is just so fantastic, entrancing. Guess i need to learn some more words to describe her. Or maybe invent one.
A good thing can never be repeated too much!
I repeat this 1000 times a day
From 0:00 to 5:39 there is a difference
Aurora music is like a drug or sorcery
mesmerizing
I got shivers all over. Can we talk about how powerful the lyrics are?

"My body falls off the side of her bed, and now I know what love feels like" I love that verse. I love all of them, but that one is pretty great.

Yes! The Nidaros is better vocals but for example The Paris concert is way more fun to look at.
Another great reaction to another great Aurora song.

Acoustic tail is actually 7 seconds.. This was measured by Erlend Bolstad as a part of his master in acoustics.
In my opinion the song Lucky is the best song🙃🙃 to hear that.

PLEEEASSEE REACT AURORA STJERNESTØV AND WALKING IN THE AIR LIVE UiB
STJERNESTØV (stardust) is a great 'winter' song sung by AURORA! In Norwegian, but there is an English translation available.
At least one person feels much better now.. Hitting the dislike button.. And it wasn't me! 😇😉
I think it's the same person on every video. The light must hurt his eyes, even though he keeps being drawn to it.
