This is Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki! In "standard" okonomiyaki, all the ingredients are mixed and it's only one layer. But here, you "deconstruct" it and layer all the ingredients. You look cool when you cook that in front of your customers...

I gasped when your husband tried to turn over the okonomiyaki hahah XD but that part with your whole family cooking together was so cute!
Is it weird to say it brought me joy to see you struggle with flipping those pancakes? XD It's just that you make those wonderful, pretty things and it's all perfect, it's nice to remember you're a person like any other and making mistakes doesn't invalidate us.
That fried rice looks sooo delicious 😭 and I loved how your husband and daughter were just sitting there quietly waiting for the food to cook 😂

Suggestion for making bread:
I know you said that you don't like to use yeast but it's worth it. The yeast will make the bread softer and more fluffy. In order to activate the yeast properly, put the yeast into some warm milk with sugar. When bubbles start coming to the surface. The yeast is ready. When activating it properly, the rise time is a lot less and it would make the whole process faster overall. It's worth a try 😊. Love the videos
I get you but , for me,I have this weird irk that I am eating microbes when I use yeast and can't have any of it haha. Maybe that's the case with her too, or not.
I agree with this. Only thing is, that I use dry yeast and that you just put in with the dry ingredients. It’s super simple to make. You use flour, sugar, salt, butter (I like to use melted butter), dry yeast, milk (I like to use milk, that is warmed up a bit) and that’s it. The bread was still soft the next day. First add all the dry stuff and then add the liquid ingredients. Let it rise and start baking.
It kind of made my teeth hurt thinking of biting into that dough she made… but she doesn’t need to use yeast, just find a good biscuit recipe and they will be wonderful. I left another comment with a suggested technique that yields a tender result.
Even if she doesn’t use yeast it’s the kneading too much that made it way tough. Just don’t over work the dough.

I used to not think about the presentation of my cooking because I only thought about being tasty & filling, but after watching cooking videos like yours, I've been trying to make my food look as nice as they taste, and its fun! :D my mom has liked seeing my pretty food pictures too!

Generally bread made with baking powder just needs to mixed together, not kneaded like yeast dough. Then it will be more tender. Everything looked so good.
If I had a family during meals likes these, all the food I'd eat will be just as delicious if not better 😭

It’s neat seeing another variation of okinomiyaki. I’ve gotten try it in Kobe, Sakura and Nagoya, all wonderful in their own ways. It’s really cool how Japanese culture celebrates local variety and excellence.
With macha and cream cheese, try fully softening and then creaming. Then you can fold it in with a spatula. This a technique used for making things like cream cheese frosting.
