- This video shows the differences in the Presonus R65 V1 and the Adam Audio T7V studio monitors. 1 of my R65 monitors broke, I ordered 2 different replacement models, all had different issues where they powered off intermittently. I got the T7Vs as a replacement because I needed something around the same size, and to my surprise they turned out great. In this video I show the volume differences, size, specs and more.

I've been using the Presonus r65 v2's for about 2 years now, and I must say, they are a hidden gem. My mixes sound phenomenal, and they handle a TON of abuse. They stand up to more expensive monitors as well hands down.
I've waited years for a comparison like this, showing Presonus R series face to face with Adam.
I'm using the same R65 speaker for techno production a couple of years, and i have to say presonus is Awesome. Untill now I don't need anymore. I really ignore how is r65 v2 and what improved, but my classics R65 still are gold for what i'm using now.

I have an Presonus R80 v2 and its awesome, ultra quiet no clicks, pops, noise or anything strange, justa a good quality sound. Ps.: i have listening adam T7V and its very good, but not as good as R80 v2. Thanks fo the video and i hope you can solve your problem.

DB measurement with a sine wave and a stand for the db meter at your hearing position would give you better result 😉👉🏻
the one on the right sounds better The base sounds less distorted Im no expert but it sounds less harsh The music is not my type but out of the 2 i would listen less to the one on the left. Im listening through Cambridge ear buds set flat
I know that driver efficiency and impedence might be different on both and this might not matter, but the R65 are biamp'd 100 + 50 watts and the T7V's are biamp'd 50 + 20 watts.
How was the sound comparison in terms of tone? Did you notice one having better lows and mids, and did one stand out as having a clearer top end? I didn't miss the part about the bass on the T7V and saying you thought you'd need to cut it a bit, but I wondered if anything changed after the two months of break-in.
There must be something wrong, I've got experience allot of experience with the Adam (T & AX Series) They usually punch hard with the output levels (The T7V) they can be pushed near some midfield monitor output range, unless you can get some decent output from them there must be an issue somewhere.
No issue with the Adam’s, the Presonus just had more power, I still use the Adam’s today and they opened up over time, I go into it at the end of the video. Thanks for checking it out!

did you break-in the Adam audio t7v? they need to be properly broken in.
You should watch the whole video, I test them again at the end, after a 2 month (over 200 hour) break in period.
So which one would you tell someone like me looking for new speakers.
