- Social distancing sucks but I decided to make the most of it and go fishing in the backyard today, had a blast! Caught a 3 pound or so Rainbow on a bee fly in about 10 minutes. Had a blast!
This is a pond enthusiast dream to have a natural stream flowing threw there property!! No liner! No skimmer! No uv sterilizer! Just good ole fashion nature! That living the life right there people!
Dude how cool is that! I’ve always dreamed about doing something like this
Joseph- please do us all a favor and create a website documenting how you made that pond. 😍
It was already here but it was full of muck. I spent a week last year taking 4 yards of muck and dirt out after I bought the place, it was crazy.
@@JosephWarner how do you keep it from becoming that way again? Must have to skim out the leaves everyday in the fall aye?
Having a trout pond in my backyard would be a dream!
Your crazier than me lol I use to put catfish in my swimming pool and catch them. Lol tight lines! 🎣👍🇺🇸
Alex Johnson I would definitely throw some channels or bull cats in there.
a stream coming thru your backyard in an urban environment is very very rare
your backyard is my retirement dream haha keep up all the good work! love your videos
I can see the game warden rolling up and saying that trout is not in season lol
A monster fish !
Very cool, super jealous of your backyard
Q: Hey, that's a nice fish, where did you catch it?
A: In my backyard xD
double the size ,you got the room in your yard just dont tell the wife, very nice by the way
It's all fun until the fish wanders off down the creek to your neighbor
they are wild basically they can come and leave when they want
Dope
That’s massive, is it wild or pellet fed? Or stocked big, hard to imagine it could find that much food in there…. Either way awesome🐟
Man I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t envious of your home and back yard pond. Is that bishop?
I live in Carson, kinda looks like you might as well! If you do I’d be happy to bring over some 3-5 pound brown trout
Bishop, bring em over
Life in the Sierras damn I wish you were in Carson, I’d bring them over today
The "tug" is the addiction!
This fish was eventually named Moby dick and unfortunately he jumped onto my floating island and died on a flowery grave :(
Hi again
Nice, next time for added effect wear your slippers.
I grew up with a creek right off my deck by my bedroom window, for a joke I once casted out my window just fora a laugh
You fed your trout caviar???😂
Pan for some gold....!!!!
do your trout ever try spawning in the inlet or outlet
He said the browns do sometimes
@@josecruz021 oh ok thx
We couldn't even see the fish very well at all
Check out my other videos
Just try putting the trout in the stream so they know that the is there
They know it's there, they swim up and down it all day
Any issues with attracting racoons or animals like that with a pond like this?
Notyet
how deep is it ?
4 feet
youre not babysitting if its YOUR KID
My wife said the same thing :)
I mean he put the fish in there and its a small pond, perhaps the exclamation point is undeserved...
roscopico I believe they are wild fish from the stream thats connected
Is that ok with Dept. of fish and game?
Nope, they came by house and said not to do it again until fishing season opens
@@JosephWarner I assume its considered part of the creek and not a private pond
@@JosephWarner how did they find out??? nosey neighbors
@@QPham-nz5po Maybe They saw the video. Thats what happened to Ace videos.
I don't know how to feel about this video. I don't know enough about the law here or what benefits this provide. Please keep an eye on this type of fishing
Keep an eye on fishing in my backyard? Ok
The benefits are 1. Fun 2. Healthy atmosphere 3. Keeping busy
How does it affect the eco system?
