It’s always enjoyable watching a genius perform their craft.
If you don't play fingerstyle acoustic guitar it's hard to appreciate how difficult it is to have the smooth grove and complex musicality in playing pieces like this. The underlying techniques he's using take a lot of practice, BUT he obviously has a gift for arranging songs that goes beyond that. I've seen a fair amount of incredible players live and online and Kent has to be in the top 5 of living acoustic guitarists, right up there with Tommy Emmanuel , Sungha Jung, Mike Dawes, etc.
Please don't forget Paco de Lucia. If you don't know him watch some of his video in black and white in his prime . You'll be amazed

, Lucas Brar, Estas Tonne, Alexandr Misko, Billy Strings (if you like picking), Naudo rodriguez, Lucas Imbiriba and not on acoustic guitar ichika nito
Kent is even better than those others. How does he do it? His sound is unique.

Compare Kent's version of isn't she lovely (this one) with Sungha Jung's version here: czcams.com/video/o0NJiasWrLc/video.html I think Jung's playing is a bit cleaner and has a bit more spirit in it, but it's not a contest... I'm sure Kent could best Jung in different contexts too. I'm happy we have them both!

Sheesh. I discovered Kent this morning so I'm running through all of his recent uploads. I keep coming across jaw-dropping tunes like this one. Wow! I'll bribe him to come to the USA.
I just found out that George Lowden Guitars has invited Kent to perform at the 2023 Namm Show that runs from April 13-15, 2023 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
This guy's rhythm, phrasing and technical abilty is phenemonal, how he can play the melody note for note whilst playing the accompaniment is beyond me, every song I hear him play sounds note perfect with the originals,

Watching videos like this just prove one thing that I already knew--I have a LOT of room to improve. It's amazing how many people I see on CZcams make me feel like I don't know anything. This is the style I aspire to and acoustic is the only thing I've played in many years. Just makes Me want to practice more.

Man I just have to say, I love how you remain faithful to the little nuances of the song you're arranging. You keep it real, but at the same time you give your own feel to it.
