One year I load a creativity block for a year. I do love drawing in pen though, the way it glides. Anyways great drawing!

The suncape patterns are so relaxing to watch. I imagine it hard to combine them all to a realistic tone/light. Impressive work. I would watch the slow motion version of the suncape part.

HI, thank you very much. I use Carton Pulp (smooth cardboard of 450gr, free of acid) or Durex (average texture 250 gr, free of acid), this drawing is made on cardboard pulp ;D

How did he get the sketch on the pallet was that regular pencil or like charcoal?it seems like the ink and led wouldn’t blend well idk I want to try this but idk
Hello, the sketch was made with that normal pencil. The sketch should be done with very smooth lines, as the ink in the pen does not adhere well to the graphite (normal pencil).

Hi @johnsartmaterialguidestuto7757 excellent! I used ‘Carton Pulpa’ for this piece. If you can´t find the same paper, the caracteristicas are: white paper, smooth, 450 grams and acid free. I hope to help you.

Hello! i use movie maker, it is very easy to use, your computer must have it installed, open it and load a video, at the top there is a button that says "edit", then "speed" and ready, accelerate the video as you like ;D
he estado practicando ya por mucho tiempo y no veo resultados aun. Me gustaría saber que tipo de papel usas, pues yo he practicado la técnica del bolígrafo en papel opalina
Hola Leined yo también uso Opalina, aunque este dibujo en especial está hecho sobre Cartón Pulpa. En cuanto a la mejoría quizá debas ser más constante, pero lo más importante es seguir practicando y ser fuerte y proseguir tu objetivo. También puedes inscribirte en talleres de arte, yo he estado en varios con diferentes maestros, si encuentras un profesor que dibuje o pinte como tú quieres hacerlo, probablemente ese sea la mejor opción. Mantén tu objetivo vivo, tú puedes lograrlo sigue adelante
Beautiful Joan! Which paper did you use? What is the best way to erase pen marks without damaging the paper? Is there some kind of fixative or varnish to preserve your pen drawing? Is there another way of blending other than the tissue?

Hello, I use different types of paper, this is smooth and flat, but I also use rough paper, it depends on what you are looking for, pencil marks mostly cannot be erased but you can draw with little pressure, so it gives you the opportunity to draw over it, this also gives the drawing personality. I don't know of a fixer exclusively for ballpoint drawings, the ink in the ballpoint pen is oil-based, so you should look for something similar. The tissue can help, but the shading is the most important and it also looks good, you should look for different types of shading or croshatching and try the ones that feels most comfortable. @ I am looking for a very good paper to show realism, Which brand did you use on this one? Are the Bic pens the best? I found some say the Pilot pens are really good! The downside to pens is that they shine! Is there a way to avoid or reduce the shining?

@@sashadavid678 Any paper is good for realism, although many people prefer flat paper, in this drawing I used Cardboard Pulp (smooth, thick and acid-free paper), I use BIC and kilometer, Pilot is also good. Is there a way to avoid or reduce the shine? I think the fact that they shine is great, they shine because they are oil based. If you want dull ink, use India ink or chinese ink.

Hola! +JRoxy G. Me fui introduciendo en la técnica de a poco, por ejemplo al hacer una obra utilizaba un 80% lápiz y un 20% bolígrafo, luego 70% lápiz y 30% bolígrafo y así sucesivamente, espero te ayude, que bueno que te intereses en esta técnica. Muchas gracias por tus comentarios ;D
Joan eres un genio,no hay mucho mas que decir,me he inscrito para ver mas obras maestras como lo tuyo,ya el dibujo del sombrero es para caerse de culo;una pregunta,a uno le has dicho que usas carton pulp,que tipo de papel es?y se puede usar cualquier tipo,conviene que sea liso o gramaje alto y ruvido como la de acuarela?los fabbriano van bien?(vivo en roma por eso te lo pregunto?muchas gracias si podes responderme y dusculpa si son muchas preguntas
Hola Federico claro que el fabbriano va bien. Yo he usado todo tipo de gramaje desde liso satinado hasta muy rugosos como el acuarela y telas, depende de lo que quieras. El pulpa es un papel muy liso pero no es satinado. Si dibujas sobre papel satinado las líneas salen muy limpias pero debes tener cuidado con el exceso de tinta del Boli. Puedes hacer ejercicios rápidos en varios tipos de papel y tu eliges el que te guste más. Saludos desde Colombia
