  • Are you right brained or left brained. You are actually both brained. Both sides of our brains work together. If you have an injury on the right side of your brain, you may have left sided neglect.

Iain Mcgilchrist suggests that the left hemisphere is stubborn and arrogant, and this may contribute to Marys unwillingness to accept that her left hand is hers. Whereas someone with a functioning right hemisphere, is more likely to accept corrections

Yes I do bump into things periodically on the left side usually my elbow our hip....Teacher by teacher by teacher told me that it seems like I cannot utilize one side and the other at the same time. One should specialize or optimize skills set....

Hi there, Dr. Gooch, this is Steven Pratt. This was an interesting overview of brain function. Some I've heard before, but some was new. Neglect in this context is so interesting. I wonder if certain regions of the brain can fatigue faster than others and create distortions in otherwise neuro-typical people, causing car accidents and such. Thank you for the food for thought.

Left Brain control the right side of the body. Right Brain control the left side of the body. Left is Right and Right is Left.
The opposite of Việt Nam North and South. In Việt Nam South is North. I'm confuse when it comes North and South.
    American opposite from Vietnamese.🐺

This is amazing info Doctor. I wish I could help my sister. She had an ETV to relieve hydrocephalus about 4 years ago.
Now she has constant headaches and severe panic attacks. We thought she will be good after about 2 years but its still really bad. Also the vertigo doesn't help.
I feel powerless. She had a few MRIs and scans done since the surgery but its really bad.
    Any suggestions please?
    Thank you in advance

Has she seen a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor (physiatrist), who specializes in brain injury?
Also, we have started a non-profit called Brainstorm for Brain Injury to try to help brain injury survivors find help and hope.

I am a right-hemisphere/CVA stroke survivor. Both Qigong and Yoga (hand mudras) have been very helpful in my recovery. This may be helpful to ur sister and relieve some pain. Love & light on ur journey💜💚 czcams.com/users/shortsGgg3qrTpx7Y?feature=share

Without being there it is impossible for me to tell. However, it can help to talk to her and give her encouragement, even if she is not responding. Sometimes a stimulant medication is helpful in these situations.
