    thank you also for pointing out things we should do differently... like the chalk paint. Spray paint! I hope they have these little fence things again next year. Our neighborhood has over 300 trick or treaters and everyone goes all out. Great costumes on the kids and every house tries to do something special. So many great Halloween ideas!

    Most creative Halloween Dollar Tree DIY I've ever seen. Just found you today and am binging your videos. Yes there are tons of DIYers on here but no one is creative as far as thinking outside of the box like you are. A big plus I found while watching this was just hearing the music and no one talking. So peaceful and calm and not causing any kind of anxiety. Subscribed immediately thank you for doing what you do🖤

    This is awesome!! I picked up a few of these a few years ago when we started planning our Halloween wedding for this year. I've been wondering what I could do to incorporate them in with decor along with trying to figure out what I could use for welcome signage..ect. This will be perfect! I wonder how chalk paint would work and hold up on the foam board.

    • @diykarem
      @diykarem  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi. I love the idea of a Halloween themed wedding. It’s my favorite holiday.
      Paint seems to warp the foam board a bit. Maybe try to place poster board on top of the foam board, then you might be able to spray or brush on chalk paint. Hope this helps. And congratulations on your wedding. ❤️

    Very cool! So glad you used low cost items to make something cool! I had been looking at those skull gates and wondered what cool stuff could be made. I'm sure theres even more ways to use them. Thanks for the spray paint tip. I also wondered if the "thin wood coffee stir sticks" (not craft sticks) painted black would work better than black pipe cleaners - just a thought for sturdiness and ease with gluing (i know they may not be easy to come by.)

    • @diykarem
      @diykarem  Před 5 lety +1

      The coffee stir stick would work great, they just have to bend to the frame. Thanks for the idea.♥

    I think if you used sandpaper on the plastic before painting it the paint would stick better and if you use some kind of sealant after the paint dried it would last longer (I only know this bc I used to paint minis for tabletop rpgs and the first minis I ever painted was those little army men bc they were cheaper than those metal figurines )

    • @crevendevoss9673
      @crevendevoss9673 Před 4 lety +1

      If you want to paint it try using sandpaper on the plastic before you paint it it will give a rougher surface for the paint to stick to and then after the paint dries use a sealant like mod podge or something like that to make it last longer as for the dimensions I don't know but if all else you ca make a collage using those pictures
