That's actually a good question! I still have an older Model 3 without the ability to play custom horn songs so I can't test it out. All I can find in the documentation is the following The folder: - Must not contain a base-level TeslaCam folder. - Must not contain any map update or firmware update files.
@@TeslaLightShows_official Okay, I did it. So..... turns out the car prioritizes the LightShow folder over the BoomBox folder. That means the light shows work even when there is a boombox folder in the USB drive but, you are not allowed to use the custom horn sounds. So you have to pick, either light show or custom horn sounds which is really unfortunate.
Can't get it to work in my MY2023. I followed multiple instructions but it's not reading the USB Drive. I have two Type C ports in the Center Console and a Type A in glove box. I also added a multiport with three Type A and two Type C and it will not work in any of them. The USB in the glove box reads the USB saying File Formatting Error. What am I doing wrong?

Tried a different brand 8gb stick and the same. Tried formatting different ways, both mac and pc, same. No idea what's going on.

Yes, the folder has to be a certain name but what I forgot was file names MUST be changed for both. Once that was done, it worked like a charm. :)

Hey, actually it's not possible at all to have more than one Light show at a USB stick. You have to swap the files or take multiple USB sticks.

Hey, it is only possible to have one light show (and one mp3) at a time on the usb drive.

when i format to ms dos (fat) -- after it reformats, it says ms dos (fat32) . would that work?
Formatting as 'MS-DOS (FAT)' on Mac actually means FAT32. So, it should meet the specified requirements :)

Check if you have any typo or maybe reformat the USB stick. Maybe try it with a different one too.
