Match was great cuz its punk vs bonchan! For us fgc translate fans we know bonchan has studied punk more than any other player and have been waiting for this! Great to see his homework paying off!

This was a masterclass from Bonchan. You could really see the areas in which he really studied Punks game.
That last second block on the overhead was insane.
As a Karin player you can tell when they are going to do it, but still the reaction was great.

WOW!!! Clutch gameplay from both these guys! Punk finally folded under the pressure. I respect many of the Japanese players ability to keep it together when the match gets intense. This match up almost gave me a heart attack lol
If you watch it live, you'd know that three of the four winners top 8 used Karin, phenom used Karin to get into top 8 not his main. He also used Karin to fight punk and lost. We should look at how they got there not just looking at their mains. Imagine Daigo using Karin, she will get Nerf to death after a season.
Guys, if you want to play like Bonchan, drink more red bulls.

This was one of the best fighting game sets I've even seen.
What is Logansama smoking, Punk has already lost to Sako twice in tournaments in the past month. He also lost to Itazan. It’s not as if he’s on an invincible win streak. He did not win any of the recent premier and ranking tournaments he participated in.
Leon Tartovsky he‘s still non the less very consistent. And you mentioned sako and Itazan as they are scrubs, they definetly aren‘t though. And Bonchan here putting in some awesome work but it could have gone either way. I‘m thankful they gave us such an amazing grand finals, can‘t wait for evo!

This is the best match of SFV. This great play has made by two master of karin and studyed them each other all techs.

@m335, are you referring to folks like Daigo and Tokido? I think they did participate. They flamed out in the earlier rounds, or at least I know for a fact that's what happened in "Game Over", the tournament in the Dominican Republic.

@@friendly1870 , I suppose they weren't. Nonetheless it doesn't take anything away from Bonchan's victory. He still had to get through a very deep pool, including what seemed like an unbeatable Punk in the grand final.

What a Nail-biter!
As far as Top-Tier Mirror Matches go, this is the best-of-the-best of recent in raw skill and xter match-up.
Bonchan had the greater momentum of the 2 and had the better reads from obviously studying his opponent more than most.
Nonetheless Punk really brought it back in the 2nd set and strangely enough this outcome was reminiscent to EVO 2017 where he beat Tokido in Winner's Final only to lose to him in Grand Finals.
My MVP for the Tourney is definitely Machabo, his skill and consistency with Necalli in Tournaments has been growing in leaps and Seismos.
I'd also keep an even closer eye on Infexious too, best new player of the Tournament.
WTF moment for sure goes to Angry Bird Ibuki, nearly flipped the script on Machabo from 2 sets down.

Yeap. Eventhough devs are doing horrible job of keeping the game balanced and Rashid and Karin are the most uninteresting and broken characters, which I would just delete with pleasure, this is still the best fighting game as of now. Not even a debate.

punk has not had a win in his last what, 4 or 5 majors in a row now? (including a few non top 8s). So he really hasn't been unbeatable lately.

@@ricemenarq6230 i didn't know that. And that is pretty tough to handle both games. I understand playing em both even ranked, but if youre doing a tournament you may wanna focus on a specific game. The controls alone can throw you off.

Incorrect you can't finish someone with chip damage. Unless you are saying he would use a super for a chip then a normal. But a blocked super=punish by the other guy so even that way your logic is flawed.
