Just the way he said Disney...
Dis knee
👉🦵
Again he’s carrying the prequel fanbase on his back
If that’s the case, he is carrying at least 50% of the whole of Star Wars 😂
Him along with Hayden. The dynamic duo of Star Wars
@@darkarrow3683 Agreed!
@@user-zb8hz3qf3x 👍🏿
Too bad his tv show was a load of shit lol
So the reason the show exists is because he told Disney he wanted to come back?
Respect
The show was complete garbage
I don’t have time for nitpickers
@@pop-culturecinephile8144 Classic prequel fanboy calls any criticism "nitpicking". Reminder that Obiwan hid Leia under a coat and it was not meant to be comedic, but that's nitpicking right? 😂
No that’s just dumb.
It likely didn't exceed anyone's expectations because like the video said it was not planned
I mean, that's how pretty much any movie/show gets made: Someone wants to tell a story, and they pitch the idea to a studio, and the studio hires talent to tell that story. Sure, the talent is usually the actor rather than the writer and director, but sometimes it goes the other direction and that's not a problem.
Highly recommend watching the full interview that clip is from by the way, it's great.
It's Disney
There's NEVER a plan
Been that way since Pocahontas (aka the Oscar bait movie).
@@user-zw3on4bx2t If it's the original, it is understandable.
@@user-zw3on4bx2t Disney has a lot of bait movies these days
The one who played luke in the kenobi show played as the golden freddy kid in the fnaf movie
lmao
That kid gets to brag he was both Luke Skywalker and Golden Freddy? Now that's just awesome.
He came up with a 2hr story, pitched it to Disney, only for Disney to change it into a 6hr series.
HE NEEDS JUSTICE!!
#KenobiSeason2
If 1st seadon was awful i doubt there is any logical reason to even consider of making Season 2.
@@mrzirak792 To redeem the series! Give it it's rightful place among star wars fans!
@@BenedictDoodeman-bf2bk Some things are just irredeemable
@@ondrejmaceska6196 I know, but you can dream.
Will they ever make another movie with him acting as Obi-wan again?
Well done Disney xD
What did you expect, Disney is constantly delaying, canceling, rushing things out, retconning, announcing thing that will never come.
Disney's plan for Star wars is there same plan they had for the sequels, there is no plan, they're just incompetent, and whats worse is they actively hate fans.
And yet the Obi show was promised as a selling point for Disney + before the streaming service even went live.
This was my favorite series for sure. I cried twice
You've just gotta look at the sequel trilogy to realise that there was no plan. I mean, I can watch them as mindless sci-fi action movies. But they are so disconnected compared to the other Star Wars films that it's obvious that Disney has no plans when it comes to their franchises.
It baffles me that Disney didn't find a director who was willing to commit to a trilogy in return for a big pile of money. How they thought shopping out each film to a different director was a good idea I will never know. Or at least have the same writer for the entire trilogy, that might have helped.
@@bjiornbjiorn Oh yeah, just a single director for all three movies could have made the whole trilogy a vast improvement compared to what it became.
Don't really agree about having the same Director - the OT managed fine with 3 - and I think Abrams and Johnson both did good distinctive jobs with TFA and TLJ with strongly contrasting styles not unlike Lucas on ANH and Kershner on TESB (less said about TRoS the better).
The issue is really the lack of a coherent vision for what the story and characters should be - there was so much potential in what we got with cast, visuals and ideas, and I sincerely believe that if TRoS had pulled the threads together, instead of flailing around trying to please shareholders, we'd be viewing the whole project in a completely different light.
That vision didn't necessarily have to be vested in one person (the OT benefitted hugely from the input of talents other than George, both in terms of story and characters), but it did have to exist.
@@stephenjohnston7630 But the OT had the direct supervision of George Lucus, as it was his vision the directors were following. The sequel trilogy directors did not have such oversight running them, hence how the plot had no cohesion to it.
@@isaiahgeorge906 Which is almost exactly what I said. I just don't think directorial style is the issue, it's working within an overall vision of what the series should be. I don't think that has to be a single person, but it has to be *something*.
This reminds me of the story of when Mark Gatiss wrote a Doctor Who episode which had a voice for a spitfire pilot added in post. Multiple people on set kept coming up to him and saying 'Is it true you're going to be voicing the pilot?' and he'd say 'No?'. Eventually the casting director, or whoever, came up to him and said 'So I heard you want to voice the pilot?' and he said 'I've never said that but, sure I would love to!'
BRO SAME WITH ME
I know it's cringe, but the first thing that I imagined in my head was him showing up to the interview and saying "hello there"
He just couldn't resist the pull of that beige robe.
'THERE WAS NO PLAN'
Disney's freakin epitaph at this point, Jesus Christ....
Why is anyone surprised anymore
It absolutely blows my mind that Disney is shocked by what fans like
Wow! It’s almost like most pieces of entertainment are created and green lit after being discussed or pitched during a meeting!
I was kinda disappointed with the show we got, but after watching this and finding that out, I'm just glad we even got the show now if this is true, which I'm guessing it is.
HOZIER NO PLAN 🤩🤩🤩
There was only one thing that gave me back my passion for Star Wars and that was Andor. Obi-wan was the end of Star Wars for me. Disney raped my childhood until there is nothing left.
disney doesnt have a plan for anything star wars or marvel nowadays
Disney is just throwing darts in the dark and sees what sticks. They have no idea what to do with Star Wars because they gave it to someone who has no love for the series.
Nice! Say it again and make a clone wars movie! I would love one
Disney at this point is like dark knight joker
They don’t have plans there just a mad dog chasing cars
And it’s not about money it’s about sending a message
And they change there story depending on the situation to suit that moment
And just like the joker, they took the best thing, people, love and turn it against them Just like how joker turned Harvey Dent into two face because he wanted to prove someone good like him could fall Kind of like how they took Star Wars and Marvel and tried to prove that they suck for a message
They both made the good guys are good things look bad
In other words, just like the joker, Disney has turned into an agent of chaos
(I wouldn’t call this much of a rant i was just really observant and I’m bored)
Isn’t he talking about season 2?
Well If it was good you could of done it for more year
There was no plan for the original trilogy either
And that trilogy came out 47 years ago
@@vidadyerfer3205 what's your point, does the time that has passed give it a break in that department
@@jacobwest7 In my opinion yes.
@@vidadyerfer3205 hmm, I'd have to disagree, it isn't much easier now to keep a story in line than it was in the 70's
