"Selfies" is a series of the NDR Bigband, in which its members present their own compositions and personal favourite pieces in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
The composition "Past (Part 2)" is a personal retrospective of the NDR Bigband's guitarist Sandra Hempel, arranged by Rainer Tempel.

It always amazes me to see a woman playing the guitar; there are not many female guitar players out there, especially in the jazz scene.
Sandra Hempel is a fantastic jazz guitar player. Because of her and Ben Monder, I bought an '81 Ibanez AS50.
Those old semi-hollow Ibanez made in Japan are excellent instruments.
All in all, this is such a fantastic performance.
And with Mr. Gary Husband on drums! Oh, boy! This couldn't be better! :-)

No te preocupes por esos arañazos, son "heridas de guerra" naturales en un instrumento antiguo. Como dicen: "si suena bien, no le muevas". Saludos.

Fantastic composition and playing. I would have liked a bit more straight guitar before switching to midi and the transition to the sax solo could have been smoother. Anyway, great stuff!
