    Martins’ joints the way they never stop crackling is just the craziest thing. You should be nicknamed “Snap Dragon,” Martins 😂😂

    Thank you for these tips, I want to get in on the KC Strongman this May, and Atlas Stone is one of the things I need to work on. 🤔

    This was a fun vid. Had to come back and finish it after a couple hours. It worked like a Rocky montage, made me want to throw some bags over the Yoke ASAP.

    Man, two great vids to watch in one day (well I watched both today anyway...)... thanks Official Strongman!
    Again, same as the CDB video, these are fantastic and invaluable tips for those who don't have gyms to train at or experienced strongmen to train with.
    If I could get a question through to Martins or anyone experienced in Strongman... how necessary is tacky or forearm sleeves in the stones event for those newer to strongman? Would it really make that much difference or is that mostly a benefit for those lifters already doing massive stones get that extra few pounds, or is it a requirement for the event?
    Thanks again! Keep these coming... great content and a great channel posting information from the best of the best.

    • @joescho
      @joescho Před 3 lety

      Any level can use tacky, but I’d recommend learning without tacky and get strong there and then add it later. Tacky is pretty important in stones though

      Thanks @@joescho, I appreciate the info. I was thinking along the same lines... learn the basics and build a foundation of strength and proper technique, then add equipment to supplement. Same principles as powerlifting, etc.

      @joescho Před 3 lety +1

      @@billf9526 I learned with tacky and didn't appreciate how good you can get without it. Until i trained with someone that i was stronger than and smaller (little arms) and could man handle smooth no tacky stones. that's when it clicked for me should train without tacky.

    So basically, first there is a first pull, then you pause in transition phase, then second pull with triple extension and then you receive and cross the stone
