One of the things I wish I knew before
Jaye can solo normal Pompeii. I remember struggling in that event because I was a new player, building jaye would've made that event so much easier for me.

As a Maleknights payer, Jaye was my GOAT for such a long time. The guy could keep the frontline alive when Ansel wasn't enough, while also being able to solo/stall bosses and being a solid heli-drop for everything else. He's still my go-to pick when I need cannon-fodder because I know he can help anywhere else on a stage too if needed.

But yea, Jaya is giga based. I probably would call him a 6 star, for general use more versatile than even Lee / SwireAlter tbh because of heal + dueling power.
For the bros who are scared of building jaye because of base, if you have gnosis he can make him relevant there again.
Unbuilt Jaye + Gnosis combo is even better. Combine with Swire alter and Silverash for a massive bonus.
No need for jay and gnosis, use proviso and tequila combos

@@bimchik i dont see how if you use jaye in base it's because you want to collec it as often as possible so having less slot shouldnt matter at all if you need to let it pile up you already should use another op that give a better bonus imo

man i never knew he could disable the dodges from the beakmen, this is a gamechanger
Great content, really good for newbies since the explanations are easy to digest.
When I was a relatively new player at the game (I did play the first month of AK coming out), when IS1 came out, Jaye carried me so hard. He can solo a lot of bosses, and even do bonus damage to Phantom with Thorns, Yatoalter and Surtr, which helped me beat him after so many tries with a proper strat and RNG not screwing me over and over (this is why I only play for rewards).
I digress, I don't even remember having operator Phantom or if he was even released at the time of IS1, so him, Projeckt Red and Gravel were my only fast redeploys (and Scene too I guess). I didn't have Thorns at that time, or the really op ops like Eyja and Silverash, so he carried me hard to the final floor multiple times by solo laneing and killing really dangerous enemies. Very good unit, I highly recommend if you lack fast redeploy, and his hope cost in IS is cheap as a 4 star, so easier to get than others
O! Just yesterday I learnt the basics of using him while playing through IS-2 (a returning/newish player) and wondered whether I got it right. Planning to build him soon. Thanks for the guide!

They provide even faster TP production than Exu/tex/lap and can hold more orders thanks to Jaye E1/2
Courier and Matterhorn are also good replacements who don't need E2 and still performs better than tex combo
I always use Jaye whenever theres Pompeii Boss. I use him on one of the CC stages.

She can be deployed and she can attack and kill enemy (situational), she's very OP
@@shiningnightmare5616 I am very disappointed that hypergryph is ignoring meta situation, they should boost other characters to frostleaf level or debuff her. In every damn guide she is there, I am sick of it.
If devs won't going to fix her, arknights' downfall will happen in a spring of 2009, mark my words.
@@hardVatsuki They're screwed for sure. One of their "limited" character literally can't attack, how is she supposed to keep up with Frostleaf who can literally attack AND slow.

I'm sorry but the title of best 4 star still gotta go to myrtle.
As someone with experience with 4* only she doesn't even deserve top 5 because if you're going to be using 4* it's usually for niche reasons (IS3/4 meta is 3* and 6* and most 4* are directly replacable with 5 or 6*, myrtle included)
Top 5 from a 4* perspective is like ethan jaye cuora cutter purestream or something, deepcolor click perfumer utage are up there too. Even for general gameplay ethan is uniquely very busted at making the enemies stop dead in their tracks, myrtle's job is replacable with other flags (who have higher average DP gen) or agents
Most of the time, natural DP generation is enough (more than two Myrtle's worth), only reason why she's used in like CC or whatnot is because opening is actually a problem that needs to be solved
Other flagbearers are slower than Myrtle for initial activation and don’t come with mapwide vanguard regen. When DP gen is an issue it’s because the first five or ten seconds of the map are tight, not the third rotation of long flagbearer skills. Myrtle will always be relevant when you need DP immediately.
@blackhammer5035 VG regen is a moot point, only the last HP matters and even still medics exist
the only time when flag initial sp matters is cc (because no other stages require extremely optimized openings), but again agents exist. P1 bagpipe can instantly activate ines s2 and canta s2 (and canta s1 doesn't even need bagpipe), in comparison p1 bagpipe leaves myrtle with 3 sp to go
even without agents in the equation - keep in mind the last time myrtle was used in an optimal max risk (highest risk with fewest ops used) was cc9 (sail/myrtle as dp gen) and even still the other max risk clear used sail/ely. don't forget that sail/ely actually do something fairly impactful with their talents. cc8 actually used her in the only 9op max risk but it's because the stage literally requires you to spend 5 DP to place someone
and wild scales and before were before sail came out so obviously myrtle usage is higher because there are literally 2 flags and 0 agents
Depends on how you define "best". She excels at her role and is the best in her archetype (and in her case being a 4* helps with that), but it's the only thing she can really do. Jaye would be the best in terms of versatility.
While it's true that Jaye is amazing, I think Humus might have dethroned him as the best 4star IMO, in a sense he does similar things with the added fact that he's a reaper guard, and we all know how strong this archetype is.
How??? Humus is just a reaper with an increased health pool, Jaye has uncapped off unit healing and twiceish the damage depending on count/def, plus silence. Like hummus is good but so is Gummy, probably the best stall out op in the game.
Humus doesn’t eat DP constantly. It’s hard to compare Jaye to other 4* units directly because he’s overstatted to make up for eating DP. That aside, Reapers are vulnerable to enemies whose stats outpace their limited healing, which makes the 5 and 6* reapers better because they have higher stats and thus keep up with that better.

Wdym, Jaye is so broken in IS, at least both 2 and 3. He can kill most non final bosses easily. Its all about how you use him properly as a helidrop and one vanguard and him module makes his trait a miniscule problem. Myrtle makes it not exist
@princenwegbu3045 uhhhhh its either fang or ines and they rarely work well with jayfraud. And ethan is a better pick if u get a specialist tag. Propaganda is useless
Really dependent on the roster progression and relics you obtain in the run. Jaye is impactful at
E1 early in the run. If you have the option to e2 Ethan he can be a stronger candidate, especially with relics.
