General Degree cuyo nombre de pila es Cardiff Butt nació en Manchester, Jamaica. Degree trabajó como sastre antes de comenzar su carrera en la música a fines de la década de 1980, su nombre artístico refleja la influencia de General Trees. Tuvo éxito durante la década de 1990.
Reveló que en realidad odiaba su hilarante canción Granny e incluso le suplicó y le suplicó al gran productor Danny Browne que no lanzara la canción, que inmediatamente se convirtió en un éxito nacional el día de su lanzamiento en 1992.
General Degree whose given name is Cardiff Butt was Born in Manchester, Jamaica, Degree worked as a tailor before beginning his career in music in the late 1980s, his stage name reflecting the influence of General Trees. He had success through the 1990s.
He revealed that he actually hated "GRANNY" his hilarious breakout song Granny and even begged and pleaded with ace producer Danny Browne not to release the track, which immediately became a national hit the day it was released in 1992. - Hudba
