I legitimately cried the first time I watched this video. As someone who was a child/pre-teen when all of the negative comments and news stories were being circulated about MJ on a daily basis, it's a victory for me to now be able to do research and disprove 99.9% of them. When I watch this video it makes me feel so guilty for literally being brainwashed into hating him as a child. I had no other choice but to believe what I was taught about him. The accusations against him were so personal for me in my childhood, and I think that had a large impact on how strongly I believed the allegations because I was going through something so similar. I am sorry Michael Jackson. I wish I could hold you and apologize for ever thinking I "hated" you. You were all about love, and now, thanks to your help, so am I.
***** Thank you for sharing your experience here. You are not the only one in this case, I mean there are many people who have believed the media, more or less. There are also people who have had bad experiences in life and won't be willing to hear more about Michael Jackson because of the allegations. Michael's story shows how we must be cautious regarding what we are told by the media. And your personal experience is important because what you have endured is a proof that you won't take such a subject lightly. So since you trust Michael after having learned more about him, you can still open other people's heart about him :-)

+ImaLittleStitious I thought I was the only one… I have been a fan since a week before his death. My older brother always joked about his nose and made jokes about him being a pedophile when I was 6 to 11 years old. I looked up to my brother so I shared those jokes. I hate myself for ever doing that. I didn't know better until my stepmom asked if I liked his music. I started listening to it and a week later I was a fan. I remember Billie Jean being my first ever music video that I saw of him. And then one week of being overjoyed it was on the news that he had passed. I remember how I avoided everything there was about his death, even the memorial. I wanted to find those things out myself, I didn't want to make the same mistake again and judge him because of any form of media or through other people. So an entire month I literally looked up everything that I had to get to know him. It gave me strength and I felt less alone, since my late childhood was definitely not okay. I remember that I didn't sleep some nights because I was so hungry for understanding him fully before being ready to hear whatever the media was saying.
Today I still don't know him fully, he is just so magical. I am using ''is'' and not ''was'' because his magic is still on this earth every single day through his music and his charity work, speeches, interviews and all the people he has inspired. I wrote him a letter 4 weeks ago, writing him how sorry I am for not knowing better for many years. I actually cried for hours and I couldn't stop writing to him. After a while it felt like he was with me, talking to me and answering whatever I wrote down. I think I wrote 14 full pages, front and back, to him. If anyone ever feels like they want to tell him something or apologize, I can totally recommend it. I will be a teacher in a few years and I hope to teach every kid about him and help as many children that I can. He inspires me to become this. Now I am so proud to love him and I will get a tattoo this year to honor him. I will always love him
Evax Nanda beautiful story so eerily similar to mine. Please never feel guilty about what you believed as a child. MJ knew what the media was doing to us children in particular. That was their ultimate goal for our generation and the generation here after us would believe all their lies and carry on the hate. All these stories are similar to mine. I never had an idea to get a tattoo done.but now for the first time in my life I want a tattoo of this beautiful angel . Yes I am doing the same thing telling everybody the true stories about him. And I feel guilty for not doing it before he die. Cried my eyes out watching this. Its like his pain is being transcended into my soul cause I can feel it with every beat of my heart. Nothing that anybody can say would make this pain go away, each and every time I think of MJ, which is every day, I think about that pain he must have felt and it HURTS. There is no better befitting song than Christina's HURT. Heartbreaking as the song is, it releases a lot of emotions one builds up. Thank you for this emotional yet beautiful video.
