My husband, David, and I just got home to Alabama last night from North Carolina. We had a wonderful visit at Creekside on Wednesday! It is absolutely beautiful! We got to visit with Jerry and Jenny and even CeCe. Everyone was so nice. Of course, Jenny was working hard planting flowers! I offered Jerry a landscaping job but, apparently, a six hour drive is his limit!😂 The signature garden is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see what it looks like in just a few weeks. I only bought a couple of plants since we were so far from home but Prissy the Unique Stone chicken handled the trip perfectly!😊
We hope to make this an annual trip. Thank you Jenny and Jerry for your hospitality. Hope y’all have a wonderful day!

Jenny is so right - Lantana is glorious! It tends to start slowly waiting for the heat to begin and then it just takes off. There were hundreds of pollinators covering my Lantana from sun up to sun down, all the way past the first frost. It takes a lot to kill Lantana - they are one tough plant, and the colors are just beautiful. I'm going to try some of the Citron this year next to my Ascot Rainbow Spurge. Thanks for sharing!

Ohh... 1 month from today... could see the panic flash across your face Jenny lol. Just remember to take some deep breaths and actually enjoy the upcoming day. Relax... we tend to put so much pressure on ourselves that it can start sucking the joy out of the experience. People are resilient and usually go with the flow if something does go array.

I have red, white, yellow, red& orange, pink& yellow lantana and my butterflies ,bees and hummingbirds love them. I have learned that some grow back on old wood and some grow all new from the ground so i am still learning which is which so i dont accidentally accidentally cut the new growth off. I am in East Texas so they love our humidity and heat❤

Have a bed very much Iike the one with the azaleas. It is just lined with the fine tree roots of a maple tree. Like a carpet. Even if the holes I chop out of the ground are big enough, the plant is surrounded by those fine mesh roots. One answer for me was to build up berms where I want plant life I place the plant in whatever depression I can make, and then pour loads of compost on top. Am usually planting three or four plants, and each plant can take half a bag of compost to cover them all. Then I push them in with my hands and rake it smooth. I always use bio tone and good compost. Started doing this three years ago, and the hellebores I planted like this are going great. I add bags of good compost to the top every year, because underneath is a problem. They are doing very well and some have doubled in size.

Hi Jenny! I love your videos, and was glad to see you highlighting lantana today! I have lantana planted in my backyard and it comes back every year. I remember you said that you don't water yours after the initial planting, but mine tends to get real dry and the ends of the leaves look brown if we don't receive rain each week. I live in Alabama, so it gets as hot here as it does in your area. Should I water my lantana during the summer, and if so, how much? Thank you for your continued inspiration!
