Fun fact: Filipinos usually cook their spaghetti sweet, because most of the time kids say that it's their favorite dish, and adults are so used to it. That when you serve them spaghetti with tomato sauce, they'd complain saying that your spaghetti tastes sour since they're so used to sweet spaghetti.

I don't even like sweets all that much (literally, skip the cake at birthday parties/weddings, have a candy bar MAYBE twice a year...I prefer real sweets - apples, oranges, kiwi, pineapple, etc.), but I still agree!
Once in a while, a dessert burger would be awesome.
Scary part is, I've tried about half of these. The Double Down and Captain Crunch delights actually weren't THAT bad. Toxic as hell and I can't recommend eating more than once, ever, but not actually bad.

The only one of these that I had was the KFC Double Down. When I first tried it, I was shocked at how much bigger it was then what I saw in the commercials (which is usually the opposite for fast food) and honestly as belly busting as it is calorie wise, it was pretty damn good (The Spicy Variety being my favorite). Kinda jealous that South Korea had the Zinger Double Down King and The Philippines had the Double Down Dog because both of them actually look really good. The Waffle Double Down in Canada though, Naaah. I can't even fathom or stomach the idea of Chicken Waffles so this is even more impossible for me to accept.
Nevermind tasting syrup with a combination of mayo, maybe anyone who loves waffles would have eaten.
I love the idea of the double down. But even I cannot eat something sweet and chicken-y. Sounds like a vomiting episode waiting to happen.

Doughnuts are generally easier to make that waffles, so...why not?
Waffles will always win over doughnuts when paired with chicken, though...especially when dunked in some real maple syrup.

I have never tried any of these foods (probably because I live in Australia) but in 2019 I did go to hungary jacks (australian burger king) and I do recall seeing the real meals on sale, I never had one.

I'd tell the cashier to do their job and make me the double down with waffles and not question my life choices while they are working the register at a KFC.

I'd guess that *probably* they'd actually lose money on each individual sale, but by limiting the stock they would reduce the total amount lost and would eventually profit big time from the marketing stunts entire viral hype

When I was a kid, the Pizza Hut restaurant served apple and cinnamon "dessert pizza" at the self-serve buffet. I don't remember if I ever actually tried it, but I do remember thinking it was weird.

It's not as weird as you think. In France "Flammkuche" (pizza-shaped dish) can be hearty as main dish or sweet for dessert and also "Crepes" can have both fillings.
I was in the army when the double down came out. My platoon sergeant said anyone who got caught eating a double down would get 30 minutes of extra PT. It was worth the 2 hours.

I was a huge stoner for like 23 years but i would never touch most of this stuff when high (or sober). Don't get me wrong, I'll destroy some Taco Bell whether I'm stoned or not but i never got the munchies for crazy shit that i wouldn't normally eat. I'd usually just go to or order from a good restaurant near by.

I worked at Burger King in 2012, the Bacon Sundae was not a fail... I remember making so many a day and them selling out many times, pissing off customers when we did not have it.. It was awful lol.

That should have donated all the profits, not just some. You look like a complete 🤡 using an entire continents pain and suffering to make money off of, the narrator is correct.
Not actually true Brandon. They didn't donate portions of the sales of the burger to the famine support causes. They instead allowed 3rd party aid agencies to set-up posters and donation boxes on their establishments so that they could have more exposure to help the victims in Africa. In other words, McDonald's didn't do jack-diddly-squat except say "Hey you guys can set-up your support campaign here." and allowed the actual people who cared to continue helping the support causes as they already always had, with or without McDonald's help. Meanwhile McDonald's got the credit for that aid despite them doing absolutely nothing except rake in money all the same as they had been before.

In germany we make sandwiches like this:
Take a slice of toast, put ham on it, a ring of pineapple on it, then a slice of cheese. Put in the oven till the cheese is lightly browned and then eat it with ketchup. It's a dish for when you don't wanna cook and most kids love it.
Pineapple on a burger sounds pretty good. Ham and pineapple is also an awesome combo.

I worked at a Burger King in 2012 and I used to make bacon sundaes, to make them good you had to use really crispy bacon, I thought they were delicious! Perfect combination of salty and sweet.

Does anyone else remember the McDLT? Hell, I even remember the commercials: "The hot stays hot and the cool stays cool!" Probably the dumbest gimmick ever concocted -- make a two-section container and put the burger and half of the bun on one side, then the lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, and other half of the bun on the other.
I reckon that it really depends on your liking, for example, I do think that pineapple belongs on pizza because that's just what eases my taste buds, but i have some friends who think it's an outright felony to have pineapple on pizza.

Me too, in the philliphines there is a burger called aloha burger and it has pineapple in it. But i love it since its not a plain pineapple in two bread, it has meat, bacon, your vegetables and the pineapple.... it sounds gross but when you try it it's soooo good.....

It may be a southern U.S. thing. But we make pineapple sandwiches all the time. I ate them constantly when I was a kid. Admittedly NO cheese, and NOT cooked. But pineapple on bread is not bad. My parents added mayo and lettuce. But I don't eat mayo. So just bread for me. We used to make banana sandwiches too.

The chocolate jalapeno shake seems like a treat. Whenever possible I buy dark chocolate with chilli peppers. Choc and chilli is a good match, but it probably won't work as well with the sweeter milk chocolate.
And I did like the KFC double down, but I'd have appreciated it much more of it was available as a zinger form.
