Apparently not true, the episodes were written well in advance of that happening. She just wasn't supposed to talk this episode because she was supposed to be more like a dog going to the vet, and it would've been weird if she was talking through it. I mean, it was still weird that she *didn't* talk, but oh well.
Andrealphus is powerful, but in the ranking of the Goetia, he’s a Marquis, about a rung below Stolas’ rank of Prince. It’s reasonable to assume he’s using his sister as a stepping stone for the possibility of more power.
Honestly how can cheating be even a thing in an ARRANGED marriage? Stolas never consented to this. I get he didn't handle things correctly with Via, but we all know Stella doesn't give a shit about it, it's just about her image (and I strongly suspect she's pissed at the lack of control she has on Stolas since he started seeing Blitz, even more so with him wanting a divorce). Your point on Striker not needing a statue with a big dick for confidence is interesting. I disagree, I feel like that's very him given how much he insisted on being "manly" and "manlier than Moxxie" in the Harvest Moon Festival episode, and he had to insist with the song, but it's an interesting view! Guess you just had your own headcanon for Striker that aren't met here and that's why you're disturbed, and doesn't like him as much, and it's fine, but it doesn't mean the show changed him compared to how he was before. By adding more information about a character, there's always some people that end up disappointed I guess. To me Stella always wanted Stolas tortured, Striker just wanted to scare him by shooting his hat. Stolas was distracted, if he had wanted to kill him on the spot, he would have ^^'
Idk there’s a huge difference for me between singing a song because he knows he’s the best and needing a statue with a huge dick that screams of insecurity. (It felt like a joke they couldn’t squeeze in with Chaz) Also I really liked that he operated out of motel rooms before, like an actual assassin constantly on the move, rather than having a cave with ‘aesthetic’. It just felt like he lost some grit that I really enjoyed before :// But that’s just me!
@@kyratriesLikewise, the Blitz feels different. I think this is intentional. Honestly for me, Stryker immediately lost his conviction when we found out that he was working for Stella. I think the writers are just continuing this line about the hypocrisy of Blitz and Striker
Andrealphus is an ice bird but is NOT a penguin. I award 0/10 points and expect the next ice bird demon in this series to be a cute little chonker in a tuxedo.
Not the strongest episode writing-wise, but I think the fandom has been judging much more harshly since that string of phenomenal episodes starting with "Truth Seekers". The bar has definitely been raised. And that's great, but we don't generally expect every single episode of a show to be as good as the best ones. "Western Energy" and even the next one would have looked much better if placed next to "Spring Broken" and "Cherubs". And in addition to the heartwrenching ending, I think we do get some important information here about Hell's racism and classism. Loona is being literally treated like a dog at the vet; no one but Blitzo cares about her feelings or even tries to communicate with her. Five years to get an appointment for a basic vaccination, while Stolas gets VIP treatment at the same place. The tiny imp pouring coffee and the one tucked into a Goetia's purse at the cafe. Striker has grounds for his hatred. Stella definitely couldn't do Stolas' job - I don't think she has any magic of her own - but she definitely enjoys the princess lifestyle. You're right, though, it's Andrealphus who really wants that money and power.
Stella told Striker not to kill Stolas, but to bring him to them alive, there was no mention of releasing him anywhere. They don't yet know what they can or want to do, but at least they've gained time for now. Stella's action was not agreed upon
12:20 The whole gimmick in episode 5 was that Stryker was showing off in front of Moxxie. He didn't have to do this. He could have just done the work and left. But because he showed off, Moxie got upset and found the gun. If Stryker didn’t satisfy his ego (he has a whole song about how he’s better than everyone else), then perhaps only Blitz would have fought against him and maybe he would have killed Stolas then
Stella and her brother are technically peacocks, not owls. And it isn't Stella after Stolas' duties, it's her brother Andrealphus. In actual mythology from the Lesser Key of Solomon they are well known rivals with overlapping focus on the stars and astrology.
3:58 There is an old sketch where everyone from the Hotel(except of Allastor) is kidnapped and Baxter (possible future character who appeared in episode 8 of Hazbin) was trying to defend them. With the help of an angel rope, most likely even Charlie can be immobilized
13:27 also this is about his hypocrisy. He is actually an egoist who just talks about all this politics about royalty, but he doesn't live up to his philosophy 100%. This is the same more general topic about the fact that he himself works for the nobility
31:35 It's more about the fact that Blitz really doesn't understand how he hurts Stolas, not paying attention to him, since he has Luna. I also like that Blitz injured more than Milly and Moxxie
The mariachi soloist imp at the end is voiced by none other than the one who voiced valentino, as well as the goat doctor imp. Also in the band is the one who voiced angel dust. The solo part at the end was ad libbed.
28:33 this is more about that she can't say no to her brother. Andrealfus, in turn, most likely wants to be in the place of Stolas, since he is only a marquis, who is lower than the prince. Stella will really get more if she will follow her brother's plan
11:40 This is about the fact that he only satisfies himself in that way about his ego only in his lair(lair comically very off the beaten track where you can't easily get to). Off his lair he tries to be cool and unperturbed in front of people. This is unusual, since usually people try to show off their ego, Stryker, on the contrary, tries to be alone in satisfying his ego, because this goes a little against his philosophy about nobles. Questions immediately arise that he has no problems with the nobility or, in principle, better people, he most likely has problems with his sense of self. This is the same situation as with Blitz. This is more about future episodes, but Blitz says that Fizz is more successful and Stolas is just a rich asshole. But this is really about him and his self hatred. I love these parallels between Blitz and Striker. They are really very similar. They both have problems with self-determination
Well another good reaction, honestly this is one of my favorite reactors to this show. I see a lot moar analysis and emotion from this channel, which is a welcome change from either angry fans or stone faced people reacting, very nice job, not just with this particular series but many other videos and topics, thank you for what you do
I didn't know you were a teacher! That's so cool, and happy summer break! People have pointed this out, but Stella and Andrealphus are peacocks not owls, but regardless I have a suspicion that the goetia are pretty inbred Like the way Andrealphus acts towards Stella is uh..
Stolas is a GOD 1:40-1:42-1:46-13:31-13:34-13:39-13:54 👍👏👌 Even Stolas liked this part of the song sung by Joel Perez-Valentino 8:13 The final of this episode aways break my heart 💔💔💔
Andrealphus and Stella aren't owls, their peacocks. Er, well, _peahen_ in Stella's case... Which would also make Octavia an owl/peahen hybrid, now that I think about it... 🤔
I prefer to think the statue was a gift from fans, because it does seem out of character for him to have commissioned it himself given his dislike of sex jokes. Other than that Striker seems consistent to me and also pretty intimidating here. Hopefully we will find out eventually what his specific grievances are against Goetia.
This episode is definitely the one with the weakest tone and biggest character writing problems. It feels like the writers couldn’t kill their darlings. Blitz and loona could have been cut completely and brought back at the very end without sacrificing anything. And the dick joke was weak
Btw, the reason Loona never talked in this episode was because her voice actress was dealing with the loss of her fiancé at that time

💯
Stella doesn't care stolas cheated. She's upset it was with a "lowly imp"
Striker did lose against Blitzo/Moxie in the last episode. Possibly the first assassination that he failed on. That might have shaken his confidence
11:40 I mean he has a whole song about how much of a winner he is prepared in advance

Fun Fact: Andrealphus's mansion may bear a resemblance of Elsa's castle in the Frozen film series 👑👑👑
Fun fact: Vizzie (aka Viv) does the voice for the goofy nurse at the clinic.
Also the mother in the waiting room, I believe.
