I've been going to Alton towers since 2008 as a kid.. this song is a staple to my nostalgia. I love it so much
air had a sort of sad yet ethereal tone, it was so chill.
@@m2tthewt there is actually a reference in the Galactica queue-line videos that Galactica tours parent company is Air Space Industries so I would say when Air Space Industries found the wormhole in Forbidden Valley they adapted the Air shuttles to safely transport guests through space and to avoid the conflict on Earth

To Be Announced its a paradise escape from the nemisis monster in the forbidden valley
Hidden Herobrine the only sad bit is the nostalgia it brings, I think galactica was more well done but now the vr is gone if they were to make it air again but do it even better than before then I would agree with their decision (especially how I wasn't tall enough to ride when I went in 2015 as air but only did it as galactica in 2018 and the vr headset just slid onto my forehead on the drop so I'll never get to experience the vr on it ever again)

The Air branding and theme needs to come back to Alton Towers in the near future. The Galactica branding worked for a while, but with Nemesis Reborn doing great, Galactica sticks out like a sore thumb. If the Air theme and brand came back, the area would feel complete again.
@@LukeStarkillerGamingyeah, though I'd love them to complete the rides theming as the concept art showed. I'm just dreading they'll just retheme it to a military or nemesis theme, the ride would loose its fun, relaxing feel and quirk then, and its the only Secret Weapon Ride at the park without a gloomy theme.
The branding is amazing though, from the iconic cloud vortex, to the light blue colour, and the iconic 'air' wording and font. If they brought back Nemesis original logo this year, I'd like them to give air the same treatment but with going back to the original look and theme.
End of 2023, and still coming back to this for some chill moments and reminders of happy times for me at A.T.

@andyrainford5728 I did galactica with vr, and my headset fell off when I was in the fly to lie element. It was clearly designed without it, but I like all three songs this ride has had
This coaster wasn't designed for a space element, they try and push it on you and it just falls flat. It felt so much better when it was simply "feeling like you're flying!"
This is my favourite soundtrack. It transports me to alton towers. Absolutely wonderful. Prepare for air was the best thing!
My mum loved Air, she told me it was her favourite Alton Towers ride. This music gives me memories. I haven’t been to Alton Towers in 10 years 😁

Rip Air. It's now 2018. Last time it was Air it was 2018! Air was one of the best rides at Alton Towers :-(. This Music gives me memories

Yes!! Let's be honest here, people only really liked Galactica because it was branded as new for the park, but only lately in the past couple years, people are starting to really appreciate airs original theme. It was so unique for a ride. No generic backstory or spooky theme of the ride trying to kill you, just some silver Sci-fi buildings based in an oasis with structures that recreate the feel of flight with an ambiguous origin. So simple, yet so good!
The Frutiger Aero vibes are strong with this one
I remember the first time I went on this it broke down, and we were facing downwards for at least an hour.
When it first opened in 2002 it regularly broke down for the first few weeks. In fact, it would experience a problem every few circuits. It's because it has do many safety sensors. If one gives a bad reading, the whole ride stops. Also, the train tilting mechanism suffered a failure in the first few months tilting a few rows of trains and leaving the others in the seated position. I guess that's what happens with worlds first coasters, nothing has been perfected and theres been no chance to iron out any problems.
As much I like the Galactica soundtrack, the one reason why I prefer this one is because, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, songs in E flat just hit different
imagine if air returened with this soundtrack but remastered and longer, maybe the alton towers theme tune thrown in somewhere
@@scottguest9875I'd love that, though most rides at Towers have In the Hall of The Mountain King incorporated in them, so personally I'd like airs extended music not to have it and be more original and unique. I'd love them to add the theming that never made it to production, especially that concrete tunnel. It looked great!

@@ChimpyWallaht the beginning of galactica's the notes are similar but in a higher key. It is similar to the long notes after the beat drop in this song.

Spinball Whizzer was its original name and was changed back after the Sonic IP run out
