  • There is no career more challenging or rewarding than serving in the Forces.
You will have the privilege of defending our country, being part of history-making events, and helping those in need - both in Canada and around the world.
You will obtain world-class qualifications and develop leadership skills that will take you far in your military career. You will visit more places than most people see in a lifetime and make great friends along the way. There really is no other career quite like it.
More than 90,000 Canadians serve in the Forces in over 100 trades and professions. The Forces are made up of the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Some jobs are specific to a certain environment. For example, if you want to be a Pilot, you’ll serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force. If you want to be an Artillery Soldier, you’ll serve in the Canadian Army. Other jobs such as Legal Officer or Medical Officer may be filled by members from any of the three environments.
No matter which uniform you wear or the job you do, you will be part of an amazing team of people dedicated to defending Canada, protecting our interests and contributing to international peace and security.

To Canada Armed Forces Members, merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Your service is and will always be highly appreciated. There are many countries who do not enjoy peace. I came from such a country, South Sudan. I have been to 2(two) Africwn countires as a refugee before finally finding my home, Canada. I know what it means to yearn for peace and what it means to keep that peace. Canada is great because you are exceptional. Merry Christmas from Moncton, NB.

Well why not? Canada has always been more peace loving and humanitarian than war loving. But they say that the prove is in the pudding, you just have to look back in living memory, in times of need the numbers will always swell. ⚔💂💂💂💂💂💂💂💂💂💂⚔

      Hi there.
I was a recruiter for a while. 4 months is not a very, very...very long time. Remember, they're not taking people one at a time, they're taking clumps of people, enough to fill a course. So naturally, the process takes some time. Conversely, and unfortunately, there's no need to hurry because they can't hurry. The amount of paperwork per person and it's processing is considerable.

Depends on your trade. Basically you can get a three to five year initial contract. Though there is no minimum, if you try it and find out it’s not for you, you can release.

Anthony Thibault- enlist in a combat arms trade and when you get qualified in said trade put in a notice of intent (NOI) to go JTF2. Though your best bet is to just show up in basic and just tell everyone you’re trying to be JTF2 see how that goes over for ya.

    • @mouthbreather280

Join the CAF, any trade you’d like, when you’re qualified and are able to, you can apply for a shot at joining. Again, a shot at joining. A Tier 1 unit isn’t a walk in the park so you have to want it badly. Really badly.

What about all the benefits? Do you get free dental for driving a truck? No. Do you get the Honor to call yourself a soldier? No you say you’re a trucker lol. There’s also more like food allowances, they help with financial support for your family, not to mention not paying tax while deployed, so that’s just straight up pay while your pay is taxed. And you just drive a truck. Congrats there bud.
