Smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside, Wednesday Addams investigates a murder spree while making new friends - and foes - at Nevermore Academy. - Zábava
Ortega was exceptional in this, she really captured the essence of Wednesday Addams. I’m looking forward to a sequel.
Let's hope it has a second season very soon.
Seems like a sequel is definitely in the bag considering how they ended on a cliffhanger + how the cast members have been responding to interview questions haha.

I loved her evolution throughout the series, slowly breaking out of her shell and becoming more yet still being the Wednesday she is.
Jenna Ortega showed an impressive commitment through this role but the dance scene was easily one of the most lovable parts! This scene alone should book her for the next 5 years ❤️ 💗
Ikr? I can’t wait to see her as White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again if it happens
@Jack Wrath stop the 🧢
Yeah, I feel like a lot of shows overdo the evolution, but Wednesday's felt believable
Becoming more what? More what???
The fact that she even added the dance move from the original Addams family series by lisa lorring is just so memorable she would be proud❤
0:48 it's a shame they cut it almost all of it to show the other 2 characters watching her
I noticed it and most of us screamed, "Let her do the whole dance done by Little Lisa Loring"
I'd never noticed that before, but I went back through and watched it again because of your comment and when I saw it I was like OMG!!!
This is why I love Tyler for her, he doesn’t judge. He loves her kooky, spooky vibe and just rolls with it :)

Do they know?

I think you have just seen only half of the show dude 😅
@@Raja.2001 No, I saw it all. He only attacked her because he was being influenced by his master who hated her. She wasn’t mad that he lied to her, she was mad because she was tricked and lost. She doesn’t care that he is a serial killer, since she comes from a family with quite a few of them and murder isn’t taboo or bad, and has nearly killed people herself and enjoys her victim’s fear too. She never cared that the hyde was killing people but was more fascinated by it and when no one believed her that it was real, she became obsessed with providing its existence and that she was right, not for justice. When it attacked Eugene, she wanted revenge by exposing it, not justice. They are the same brand of sadistic, manipulative sociopaths and perfect for each other.
Wednesday is one of the few characters who can make dancing cool without smiling. Especially for a Pulp Fiction reference.

Her moves absolutely take you by surprise the first time you see them because of how animated they are and how perfectly it suits her character. It also reminds us that Wednesday isn't just some socially awkward teen; she's full of character and couldn't give a rat's mummified ass if you understood her or not.
To top that off, knowing that Jenna Ortega choreographed this herself over two sleepless nights just makes this so iconic.
She can’t dance
@@joeyfalcon1793 And she still did a choreo, imo the dance could've been better, but 1st of all, she's not a dancer at all, 2nd of all, it's Wednesday Addams she's playing, not some high school typical blonde that does dance and cheer, and last of all, if you don't like it, don't say anything about it. Jenna did great with this, and absolutely owned this role. And don't come at me saying "YoU dOn'T kNoW dAnCe" because i do.

Knowing that she personally choreographer the dance based off early goth culture and that it was her first time preforming it in front of everyone. It’s called editing. There’s a thing called bloopers too.
@@CoolPandaTheMovieNerd Yeah, and her work still admirable. We are humans and we know that, we are not perfect, and her skills are still cool
I think she's a dark version of Ariana Grande
@@MacJuds it’s not about being perfect it’s about how movies are made, dumbass.
This scene is a masterpiece. Period.
It has a touch of old and new while still maintaining the feel. Anything more or less would of failed.. Well done actually
Jenna Ortega is a 10/10 in this show. She is the perfect Wednesday Addams.
Christina Ricci has the same Wednesday Vibe but darker.
@@nanyunie It's a close call. Ricci never had a dance scene that was both weird and oddly slightly hot like ortega did.
@@nanyunie Ricci Wednesday was easier to play IMO. A young child being dark can be brushed off as acting out for attention so it was easier for her to just do or say whatever she wanted. In Netflix show she is 16 there is more of a dynamic there. Mostly she is maturing as a person. She can't be that dark little girl anymore atleast not in the same way. I think Jenna did a great job.
Hahaha!!! No.
Actually it’s pretty much a destruction of the character and what Wednesday Addams was in the original show.
She played this part exceptionally. I watched this nonstop I could not turn it off until it was over. Hoping there is a sequel. Well done to the cast members and Tim Burton
Average mid show
I read that as "she slayed this part exceptionally"
Thn the legend, coupled with Jenna, the rising star 🌟!
That guy's eyeballs turn so big when he transforms.
@@mrred5366 that must make you below average 😢
Love they added the original Wednesday dance.
Always loved how she throws a little bit of her mama in that dance! So awesome ❤
Little did she know the dance scene would be a huge hit and start all kinds or trends. She executed it with perfection.
Sadly they never use the real song ;-;
For sure she knew. Almost all tik tok trends are marketing campaigns. Influencers paid by some sponsor always initiate, and the others copy. Often even memes are marketing campaigns, like it's morbin' time
Oh I think she knew. :)
She choreographed it herself as well! 🙂
@@romancese23 when i saw this that’s when i knew i was watching something special
This show is such incredible proof of what acting can be done without saying a word. And even without facial expressions a lot of the time, this show works because it lets you imagine rather easily what Wednesday is thinking, it doesn't have to tell you or beat you over the head with it, you can tell when she wants to strangle someone or when she wants to roll her eyes even though she never does either. Ortega really did an incredible job portraying an awesome character. Show is being rightly praised and Wednesday was right.... the suspense is killing me....
Edit: I have a theory that this dance scene is the one having so much of a lasting impact on people is because its just like "Wednesday in one scene". And basically is a giant recap of what makes her great, its familiar and awesome but also sort of weird and out there, just like Wednesday herself.
And the new cosplay for OnlyFans was born!
You're maybe half right. There is a lot of narration during those "no dialogue" scenes you're thinking of. The show definitely over explains many details. We get a lot of internal monologues in this show because Wednesday doesn't verbalise her thoughts often.
That dress goes well with representation of herself. deep and dark. and i'm having trouble what to notice in her? that dress the expression or the way she expresses herself through the dance!
What a beauty. Those eyes could start wars or stop them. Mesmerizing
0:44 - 0:50 loved this scene so mucch. Cant believe she choreographed this dance few days before filming. Damn..... she even nailed the goth girl eye stare ... that can literally pierce people's heart with them
P.S : go watch ' Wednesday dances with Bully Maguire ' XDD trusst me
not only you my fav part of her dance is this scene
Omg me eitherrr
I was thinking that part is the best😂😂
Its the stare at 0:28 that gets me. Thats exactly how a goth girl stares at someone and I love it.
@@DoodlesGaming yeah
@@DoodlesGaming Goth's dont stare at people, we're not interested in you normies
I love her confidence, she knew she was killing it!
She even does the original 1960’s Wednesday dance at 0:50
💃🏻🖤
Yeahhh that moves 🔥🔥🔥🤍🤍
AHHH those moves are so perfect 🖤 ❤️🔥💃 🕺
i recognized that too!
and she did her mother dance in the 90's movie
I peeped that too! 😂
Frankly the best show of the season. Jenna Ortega has created the best version of an Adams family character ever... The other characters are wonderful, but Ortega has made this a must see series.. Must see over and over again!
Her improv couldn't have been choreographed better. She makes us old school new wave/punks proud!
