Now you're talkin'. Perfect restoration, excellent quality and I'm very impressed with the way you repair and save the old parts. This is real repair, saving as much of the original machine as possible. I like the LED change though- that was a good choice and adds to to the functionality. A+ work and video.

Nostalgic! My first stereo bought in a gray market in India. Auto reverse was cutting edge, bass was pretty decent. Great Japanese build quality. I miss it dearly, thanks for doing this. You made my day.

What a talent a big salute
These boom boxes are really best in class and a deep knowledge is required to bring back to original position
    I was having National RX-C-45
Thanks for bringing back old memories

I don't understand why some are saying it's not a restoration. You fixed some broken parts and made it look new again, isn't that what restoring is? Good job.

Love the care you put into the restoration and love the care for older tech products. It is unbelievable what some people can do with older equipment that previously serve their lives. When it become old it is treated as worthless. What if this stereo equipment was their grandma, will she treated the same way? ;-) Great find, great restoration.

I too had one of these.
I can't recall the exact model no, but it was very similar to this one.
Here where I live, they were branded National-Panasonic - National were the original Japanese brand name for Panasonic, but it couldn't be used in the US, as there were already a company with that name - so in the US it was Panasonic, and here in Europe it was National-Panasonic.
Eventually they got rid of National and changed the name to just Panasonic here in Europe too, mainly to avoid confusion, and to gather all their products under one brand.
I also had a National-Panasonic high-end VCR, very pricey, but worth every penny - best VCR I've ever had.
Great restoration, it brings back some memories. 👍👍👍

Typical auto-reverse rotating head - never lines up! Even if you get it correct in the forward direction it's going to be out in the reverse. It's one reason I don't like auto-reverse decks.

Hello friend, I just love to watch these videos. It's so nice to see someone who really knows their stuff. Because we live in an age where people seem to know the price of everything, but know the value of nothing. So keep up the great work. I do a bit of restoration work too. Mainly multitrack cassette recorders, but I have recently been looking at vintage boomboxes. Kind regards. Paul.
