I'm with ya dude! Anybody could just put all new electronics and have it do 150. Where's the fun in that? You squeezed all the juice you could out of those parts. That thing was moving! You show us you don't need to spend a million dollars to have fun. Take us there big daddy. 🤪 You know, I'll bet if the wheels weren't open or just slightly bigger it would have gotten triple digits all day long.

Throw in a MAX 6 G2 ESC with QS8 connectors and gear it to 25/46. I used a of 4S 6200mAH CNHL Purple batteries. Make sure to get couple of good Powerhobby fans on the motor and you will get 115/120 MPH. Just do not bash this setup and watch the temps. I hit 113 with my Infraction with this setup in front of my house in a subdivision on GRP tires. This setup still had more in the tank, I just didn't have the room to push it. This was with the Kuron 825. The Corally ESC is a rebranded Hobbywing Max8 and you will likely have a bad time trying to see if it will run 8S.
Totally agree with you. I went for some style as well as speed 😅 Foams, diff tuning, new electronics etc would push this way further. This was a good test of the stock electronics those 😁
@@disciplinerc That was great for stock on a Corally. I like their RTR setups. Their 6s combos wreck Arrma Spectrum 6S combos. I just seem to buy more Arrma than anything else due to parts availability and customization.

@@disciplinerc it amazes me how you take rcs that aren't really meant for SPEED RUNS, but you make them these awesome speed machines. 😎 kinda like me and my Kyosho Inferno Neo 3.0 VE. I transplanted an Arrma Infraction 6S system into it and now it flies like an Eagle 🦅 'Merica 🇺🇸.
So close! I had the exact same issue with my Traxxas Bandit - sucks to get so close but not quite there. I got it to 98mph and couldn't quite get it to 100 mph on the stock electronics. For me it took a better ESC to push it to 100 mph on the stock motor.

great video my canadian brother... im not a big speed run guy just now really trying it out last year i did some with a 3s INFRACTION on 4s with a FIRMA150 and got to 100mph it was so much fun learning....
this year i have the 6s INFRACTION and alot of help from sponsors and were shooting for 130mph 1st and if all goes well will work on 150mph....
Nice bro. 130+ is a trip. Make sure you have a perfect road and plenty of down force on the nose 😁👌
@@disciplinerc yes sir.... I've been being coached by some of the best... athletes reason this hobby is so cool. Aero is gonna be tricky as I'm keeping the truck body.... I know it can be done I've seen it my truck will definitely have the right set up now to see if I got what it takes lol..... hopefully you will catch some of my journey I'm recording everything

I think you could crack 100 with a better battery. I love corally esc motor combo they seem to have partnered perfectly. I'd suggest a couple of tornado or similar fans on the motor.. they do get hot on 6s, but 2 years of 50+ Mph on grass and jumps my punisher hasn't needed a new motor yet. Its needed a fair few other bits... mostly because I land it inverted to protect the arms etc. (Or I'm just crap at jumping). I'm liking the look of the spark but currently not buying complete cars and rtrs focusing on builds and upgrades. Keep it fun and your energy maybe one more pass....
I get it, a bit more C couldn't hurt. I think a couple of simple tunes could get it there. Even smaller lighter wheels would reduce the amp draw. This motor is bomb proof I agree 👍 I love project build too, just haven't had a solid block of time to commit - hence the hair cut and wardrobe changes in the vid 😅

Good video. If a car will do 98mph with those heavy tires it will do 100 with grps. Rotating mass is a killer and will have more negative effects than you gain from the taller tires. Let the light weight gears be the gears and use a lighter tire. If you have a po box i will send you a set of grps just to back it up. Keep up the videos.
Yeah, there is way more in it for sure. I know if I had dropped a MMX or XLX2 in it, it would push 120 easy with that setup. Just impressed that the stock ESC could take that abuse 😅

You could try the hobbywing max6 g2 esc with the g2 2250kv motor 😅
That combo would crush 100+. Pretty impressed with the stock electronics though 👍

Just a tip. Those hoons are horrible for speed running, should have went with GRP if you wanted to stay rubber tire. The motor has a lot of potential with a good ESC like a mmx8s
I agree, Purple BSR's for the next one I think. WAY lighter....but the Hoons give it extra style points 😎🤘
@@disciplinerc the hoons are gorgeous. They can make any car look good. I definitely recommend going to a mmx8s tho. Hobbywing is cool for bashing but for speed running the firmware is too "safe" . BSR purple has been proven time and time again by James McCoy
