I'm Varun.
I am a full-time traveller now (yes, I quit my job to follow my dreams). I love solo travelling & meeting people. Summeron 1418 In every 12 years there is a "Maha kumbh". In between in 6th year, there is "Ardh Kumbh" and every year Allahabad has "Chota Kumbh".
And yes this time it will be Ardh Kumbh but the Govt. is coming up with great projects which will make it better than the 2013 Maha Kumbh.
So practically it will be a Maha Kumbh. The govt has also said that they will celebrate the occasion at Big level in every 6 years.
There will be many new things in this Kumbh. The City is totally getting ready for the Kumbh with great number of projects.
That's great news..I was planning to visit allahabad for the kumbh mela.i will surely plan now to go.
