- This comic is based on the first half of a season sixteenth tenth episode. We will listen to the comic and see how Arthur, Sue Ellen, and Buster feels in each part and explore some story endings with them. Even though this episode is still completely controversial and possibly hated to this day because of Arthur being used as a bully, we will explore how this comic contrast to the episode. If making this episode, someone else should have been the bully (Francine, Muffy, Binky, or one of the other tough customers).

Arthur come on, get cool, boy. You made a lot of dog jokes of Sue Ellen, she told you to stop and you kept continuing. Arthur should never bully Sue Ellen like that.

Blame Peter K. Hirsch for choosing to make Arthur like this. The irony is that Peter K. Hirsch was one of the same writers partnered with P. Kevin Strader for "The Last Tough Customer", and then Peter K. Hirsch decided to be his own writer when making "So Funny I Forgot To Laugh" (meaning without P. Kevin Strader's help). The message from "So Funny I Forgot To Laugh", I understand where this was going for, but this episode was really bad writing for choosing Arthur, who was already bullied and abused in the past, to be the bully when someone else like Francine, Muffy, Binky, or even Buster (since he likes to tell jokes) would have been better choices for the audience to grab the message more easily than to just think that even the nicest characters can be the biggest jerks for no reason. Even using Sue Ellen as a victim is the irony. Remember "Bully For Binky"? She was the only one who actually can step up against a bully like Binky and has taken Martial Arts training to prove herself tougher. If she can stand up to someone like Binky, how was she not able to stand up against Arthur? If anything, Fern would have been a better choice as the victim for being bullied and joked about (when adding on who should have been the bully instead of Arthur). Anyway, that's what I want to share, I hope this explains better on how this episode was made after doing more research.
Believe me, the actual episode feels even more cruel
People say this out of character for Arthur and get mad over the fact that, plus the fact that Muffy and Francine, who were actual bullies, call him out on his behavior.
Frankly, I think it just shows that bullying can come from anywhere and how many bullies use mental gymnastics, like Arthur, to avoid taking responsibility.

I hated this epoide when it came out
and when arthur bullied sue ellen she could have slapped him or cursed him out and she told the teacher mr. ratburn the arthur was bullying her and mr. ratburn punished him and made arthur write an apology letter to sue ellen and sue ellen went him and told her mother and her father and her mother and father could come to school and tell the teacher that arthur was bullying sue ellen and the teacher mr. ratburn could call his mother and his father and the parents arthur's mother and father could punish him or yell at him or beat him with the belt or a stick and the three girls francine and muffy and sue ellen could have slapped him or cursed him out or they could have jumped him and beat him up and it could leave scratches and scars on him.
Yeah, that would stop the alien Arthur. He deserved it for being a Jack bully to Sue Ellen! Arthur, you should be ashamed of yourself for what you did to Sue Ellen! How dare you bully Sue Ellen, bullying students at a school is not okay and you should be ashamed of yourself for what you did to her! Thanks a lot Arthur you little jerk! If Arthur was on Planet Mars, or in prison, he would definitely learned a valuable lesson about bullying kids and students at school and online! Arthur would’ve been suspended from school or kicked out for bullying a student! We have a day called Pink Shirt Day where we stand up to bullies that are bullying us! They should make an episode about Pink Shirt Day to Arthur, where Arthur’s friends stand up to Arthur for him bullying Sue Ellen at school from that sweater! This is all your fault Arthur! You know better than this!
