Angakkuri is a 1979 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Vijayanand and produced by C. V. Hariharan. The film stars Jayan, Jayabharathi, Sukumaran and Seema/Shanthamma. The score was composed by A. T. Ummer.[1][2][3] The movie is a remake of the 1979 Kannada movie Sneha Sedu.
The protagonist, Ramachandran, returns from prison and kills his corrupt boss who implicates him in a criminal case that has destroyed his family. He kidnaps the victim's daughter Sarala and delivers her to a brothel, where she becomes a prostitute. He moves to a new place, takes the name Venu and becomes a criminal. There he befriends Balakrishnan, a taxi driver who is Sarala's brother and the son of the man Ramachandran murdered. Everyone is looking for their enemy, but little do they know that it is their best friend. Veenu begins a sexual relationship with Krishnan's fiance Geetha. Thampi, a smuggler, tries to confiscate the poor people's land and demands 100,000 rupees, which he knows they cannot pay. Ramachandran brings money and reconciles. Thampi is unable to get the property and realizes that the money was actually his and stolen by Venu and plans revenge. On Geetha and Krishnan's wedding day, Sarala is overjoyed that Veenu is Ramachandran and that he is the reason she borrowed her body. Thampi arrives and catches Geetha and Sarala. Krishnan and Ramachandran join hands to convince Thampi to rescue the girls and hand over Thampi to the police. It is revealed that Sarala is Ramachandran's sister who was kidnapped by Balagandaran. But he took pity on her and took care of her. Ramachandran felt guilty and hit him on the head with a stone, the blood dripping onto Sarala's face. Sarala forgives him. Police did not arrest Mr. Ramachandran because he was imprisoned despite his innocence. Ramachandran marries Geetha and Krishnan marries Sarala.
