  • This video provides a brief overview of Hawe Creek Campground, visited in May, 2024. It is a Corps of Engineers Campground along the shores of Strom Thurmond Lake. The closest town is McCormick, South Carolina, along the border of South Carolina and Georgia. This is one of several COE campgrounds around this very large lake. We visited this campground in our Wildwood 29VBUD. Please Like, Share, and Subscribe to this channel.

Thank you for doing this... I'm headed there tomorrow, and this helped me figure out what I'll be facing with my site.

If seclusion is your thang, this looks like the place to be. Looks like the fishin' is pretty good too. Thank you Reagan. 😊

For sure! The campsites were huge and many were very secluded down long driveways. So much peace and quiet…well, as quiet as it could be with millions of cicadas singing in the background! 😀

Im only about an hour from this campground. It appears they need to address site drainage issues. Imagine the mosquitos enjoy it.

The water in some of the sites is a bit deceiving, as it had just come a nice downpour in the middle of my filming. In just a short bit the water was gone. Thanks for watching and for the feedback. Happy Camping!
