The Ocean Goddess
As we humans lose our connect to the earth, our natural resources are depleted, our forests are disappearing, our waters are contaminated and animals and plants struggle to survive. Indian culture traditionally revered nature and gave it a place of importance, just like many other indigenous cultures of the world.
One story that reiterated the oneness of all creation is that of Matsya, a tiny fish that grew to reveal the truth of the universe to King Satyavrata. When the world was going through a period of dissolution, the king found a tiny fish that grew to the size of many lakes. This fish saved the king and taught him the truth of oneness. Once we begin to see ourselves in everything around us, we begin to empathise with all life.
Matsya, is a reminder to see ourselves in everything around us.

Omgggg this is my absolute favourite tale from the vedas! About king Manu finding the matsya and it growing bigger and bigger and then he gets told by the matsya that it is infact Lord vishnu, the supreme personality of godhead who has come to warn him of a great flood and so he tells Manu to get all animals and plants on a boat and the seven sages too and that’s how they saved humanity ❤

@@chandrait2004 Yes, you know Biblical verses are collection of early "pagan" scriptures. it is not a selfmade natural religion. it is just a business empire. the story of how Manu the first human of this cycle saved life on earth from the great global flood. with the guidance of God/Vishnu and Seven sages.
@@aditisaini556 I disagree. it's not coincidence. arabians copyed from hindus, greeks copied from arabs and Christian copied from greeks. that's how even vedic maths, science (sankhya) and other things went there translations of translation of translations that's why there are little difference in the story because in translations language is not conveyed properly or accurately.

it's amazing the pieces of art you have based on indian classical dance and yoga, but seeing a classically trained dancer perform so beautifully in the water is such a treat to the eyes and unexpected as I'm sure it is not easy to do and takes it own skill set. Additionally the production itself is so rich. This deserves all the world's recognition as well as all the other pieces as you elevate the artform of indian classical dance.

Im awestruck, as a novice who learnt to swim in his 30's, I can feel how tough it could be to emulate such dance moves at such depths.
A very different form I saw on CZcams . . . With the story of fish increasing its size . . . A very different feeling.
This is a telling of the Matsya avatar of Lord Vishnu and how he became bigger every night and instructed King Manu to build a boat and bring the people, 1 pair of each animal they could find and the Rishi's to preserve the knowledge of Hinduism because the world would flood in 7 days. He then lead the boat through the flood to the Himalayas where it finally docked and humankind survived the flood. Beautiful illustration of how Brahman (God) helps us navigate through all things even if it means he has to manifest on Earth.
