It’s so satisfying to see you put those gel-x nails on. The way the gel flows towards the tip, bubble free, so cool. I have a question, why do you put your finger on top of their finger when filing?

When filing a nail that long it puts a strain on the actual fingernail so applying pressure to the finger like she is taking that strain/pressure away to make sure the client is comfortable

I do this because when I file it can flip their nail up so I’m securing it down so that I don’t accidentally flip it cause it’ll hurt.

Hey a question I had was that if your clients ever experienced heat spike while nails being applied during gel x if yes what do u do?

Yes! It’s pretty common, what I do is move the light around so it’s not in one spot. Then when they go under the big light I tell them if it gets too warm take there hands out for a bit then put it back in

Hi i had a question when I do my gelx I paint them with gel polish and I notice after curing my gel polish looks lumpy and loses the original shape of the gel polish and leaves the nail looks thicker why is that? Am I applying to thick of a layer? Or to many layers?

That means the gel is applied too thick, try thinner coats and swipe the sides before curing (use gloves to swipe If you’re allergic)

Kiara Sky Gelly Tips Builder is a great medium for securing Gel-X tips! I started out using their full system, but once I tried Apres tips I couldn’t look back. I haven’t tried the Apres extend gel yet (bc I’m scared I’ll love it and it’s $$$ 😂), but my guess is this one’s a good dupe! My nails last 3+ weeks with it. Loved this set!

I’m confused. If acetone is used to remove nail polish and break materials down, how can it be mixed with nail polish to paint with without melting off?

You have to soak it in there for a while for it to melt, once the acetone dries it does nothing
