    i do nails and lashes and i feel i get alot more money out if lash lifts and nails because i am fast 1.15hours doing that, while id need 2-2.5 h for lashes and cant charge that much more
    people here dont understand thst its luxury how hard it is to isolate a single lash and do this job not just anyone can do it

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Před 2 lety

      Is our job as the professional to educate them on why it takes so long and remind them it is a luxury service. They won't respect your time if you don't educate them on the little things on why it takes so long. And if you are charging cheap they won't see it as a luxury service. You can charge more. If you don't see the value in it your clients are going to see the value in it either. So don't sell yourself short. Charge your worth and take your time.

      @@YoyisLashBeauty thing is, if ur the only one in Iceland charing X amount for lashes 2x higher then others u dont get alot of clients they will go elsewhere. LA is expensive for lashes right like 200 bucks? here would be what they would wanna pay, 80-100 and some more “expensive” people charge 110-120, i charge 140 for mega volume and below that for other sets so my price is from 115 for classics up to 140 for mega and that is considered extreemly high for something that lasts 2 weeks if that would be the fill time needed, thats why they come every 4 weeks.

      In scotland lashes are pretty cheap as well, from £35 classics to £75/85 mega vol full sets. Top ups around £25-40 2/3 weekly. I often wonder why prices are so varied in different countries. Lashes are so popular in the Uk as well.

    I get pressured to lash faster (classic set in 1 hour) . I have been lashing part time for 1 year. That takes my passion from lashing. The stress that I am too slow

    • @YoyisLashBeauty

      That's what I mean when you are stressed out about getting it done in certain amount of time it becomes a job instead of a passion. That's one thing I don't want to loose. I still want to be passionate about doing this and that's why I refuse to stress out about time. I understand that some artist work for someone else and they have no choice but to work faster. But really think about it your a part time lash artist that's been lashing for a year but your expected to do a full set in an hour. That's crazy, and I'm so sorry your feeling that way. And if your honest I bet you rather skip washing and priming to give yourself more time to lash and if you are prepping then that takes away from lashing time. And to do it in an hour your not lashing 100%? Correct me if I'm wrong I don't want to be assuming anything from you. But coming from someone that's been lashing almost 5 years I understand the frustration that your feeling especially so early on in your career. And have this thoughts that your a bad lash artist breaks my heart. At the end of the day it's not about timing it's about quality work and also love what you do.

      Your welcome hun. I don't want you feeling discouraged about your work. I want you to love what you do and not be stressed out about it. I understand in your situation it's hard but try to make the best of it if your going to stick around there for a little bit longer but think about going on your own. You will be much happier doing it for yourself on your own terms, your time, your prices, your own boss. I know it's scary but it seems to me that your losing interest and it would break my heart if you stopped doing this because of stress of not being a 'good" lash artist because someone is pressuring you about time. You are more than capable of doing things on your own and feel confident and proud about the work you are providing on your own terms. If your not ready then give it your best and remember why you started and why your doing this. If they only give you an hour do your best for that time but still enjoy doing it. Your not a bad lash artist your just not in an environment that cultivates growth and support. But I just want you to know you are doing your best and for that I am proud of you! Don't beat yourself about it, you got this! 😘❤️

    Beautifully done.!!! Definitely need to get Into the habit of single lashes to create fans. I’m currently using “easy fans” which was thee only fans I was taught in class 😢 I wished I was taught with singles I’d love to create fans with a thin base line😭 your videos have definitely help me and taught me so much. I always say this but it’s so true. I’m hoping to save up, I’d love to take your class in person. I’m From Bakersfield, Ca. Las Vegas, will be a drive but well worth it. I'm nade to feel so slow lashing. Idk if it's just here in Utah but lots of v these girls are doing full sets in 2 hrs or less fulls in 30 minutes. I personally do not see how they do a fill in 30 minutes. They definitely are skipping prep. I had to call clients & rearrange my schedule because I need 3 hours for a full set. I've been watching your videos for over a year (only been lashing about 18 months very part-time) and hearin you say you you take 3-4 hrs makes me realize I'm just not skipping steps & lashing every lash.

      From experience I know for a fact that if they are lashing under 2 hours for a full set and doing 30 min fills I know they are skipping steps and most likely rushing and not lashing 100%

      Don't be too hard on yourself. It's part of the journey. Your still fairly new in your journey so don't feel bad if your taking "long" don't listen to other artist if they say taking too long is bad but in reality taking your time to do things correctly is the right thing to do.

    • @TruongTee
      @TruongTee Před rokem

      I know right. Every 2 weeks is very costly I personally know some lash techs that their lashes last 2 months. If u do good solid work it will last a long time

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Před rokem +3

      Lash extensions aren't meant to last 2 months. If they are they most likely are cluster lashes and not single extensions. Cluster extensions for directly on the lash line skin and are glues to a lot of natural lashes. Single extensions are placed on each natural lash. It's a huge difference. Cluster lashes are so damaging because everyone's lashes grow in different stages so and that's why it's so important to only be placing one extension to one lash. And your lash artist should know that and be able to explain the lash cycle and educate their clients that everyone's natural lashes she's daily. Lash extensions aren't meant to last 2 month because we naturally shed 2-6 lashes a day. So if they are lasting that long most likely your lash artist is damaging your natural lashes. You have to go in every 2-3 weeks to remove out all the grown out lashes and replace them. Every professional artist will tell you the importance of infills. If they aren't educating you on that then I wouldn't trust them. Anyone who tells you they last that long is not a professional and in the long run will cause you so much damage to your natural lashes. That's why cluster lashes are cheap because they are damaging. Single eyelash extensions are costly because the artist makes sure to keep their clients natural lashes integrity in mind. Hope that makes sense. And clears ups some confusion.

    Hello! Beautiful work✨ Are you pinching as you go? Seems like you make your fan, put it down, isolate, then pick it back up and place?? Trying to figure out everyone's different techniques.. thank you

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Před rokem +1

      Hey hun, From the way that I edit my videos it's hard to tell how I make them just because I am so zoomed in on one eye. But I crystallize my fans and make my fans as I go. And I actually changed my technique so I don't pinch anymore. Its hard to explain my technique. So I isolate and them I make my fan with one hand using the shimmy technique and then I crystallize the base so the fans stays how I made it and then I place it on the Lash. I know it sounds confusing. But hands down so much better than pinching and my time has improved so much.

    Does every full set take you 3-4 hours to complete?

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Před 2 lety +4

      Depending what it is. For full classic sets I take about 2 hours. For hybrids, volume and wispys I give myself 3-4 hours. I don't always take that long but that's the time I give myself because I want to make sure I lash every single lash. Isolation has to be on point. My styling has to be perfect. I just take my time making sure everything is done right. And I normally do advance styles so that's why I take that long.

      Most likely she's not lashing all your lashes. You probably may not have a lot of lashes so since there's not much to lash she doesn't take long. But for anyone who has a lot of lashes in order to lash every single lash it's going to take a longer time especially if they are hand making each fan and ensuring that she's properly isolating each little lash. A good lash artist takes her time and ensures she is giving her client exactly what she is paying for.
