Yes exactly brotha, I'm shocked no other poketubers are going over this. People are gonna want to collect all these alt arts in the future and as SWSH stock dries up, theres no way even the worst alts won't spike (looking at you conkeldur). The pull rates are all equal (umbreon = duraludon vmax) so when you look at it in that perspective its just so safe to buy them right now.
No one is talking about it cause it won’t happen brother, everyone and there momma is sitting on sealed product and singles from this era and re prints happened for hidden fates way after it’s release, these sets are still getting random reprints and won’t stop soon lol the print runs for this era of cards is a probably 25 times as big as the print runs for the latios and latias era of cards. That’s gonna be the difference unfortunately. Too easy to get cards from this era and too many, same thing that happened to the mj cards for sports back in the day, they over printed them and now a bunch of them aren’t worth anything, the ones that hold value are the ones that don’t have big print runs
Completely agree on these. I somewhat get the reasoning behind some of these prices. Some of these aren't "universal fan favorite" Pokemon so they don't have the big price tag which I think is dumb. Buy what you love to collect but at the same time look for good deals. I scooped up the Medicham and Greedent Alt arts for $20 and it felt like a steal. Definitely going to be picking more of these up. Value can go nowhere but up! Great video man

That’s my whole idea, the term “investing” is used as a buzzword but really there’s more to it, as most collectors would rather get deals than overpay for high value cards that didn’t used to be that high *Latios & Latias GX Alt*. I grabbed Origin Forme Dialga and Regidrago alts for the price of a modern ETB. Can’t beat that given the pull rates!

I actually bought a PSA 10 moonbreon last summer for 610 before it jumped, assuming I would never pull it. However, I ended up pulling it on the first Booster box I opened in the reprint. I was chasing the Rayquaza, but was so stoked. I have the graded one and raw now, and plan to hang onto them both for the long haul. I do want to go back and get the best hitters from Battle Styles, and the Blaziken from Chilling Reign, as well as others at some point.
Hmmm I only bought the ones I want to keep for my collection, I'm not a huge investor in singles I prefer sealed product I just understand that market better and it's more predictable and less prone to random fluctuations. I have been branching out lately though, looking at cards from older sets wondering which ones I will be kicking myself in the future for not buying now. Based on Sun and Moon I can tell waifu full art trainers are one to stock up on, they all seem to be rising quite high and many of the newer waifu cards seem quite slept on to me such as Marnie's pride & Cynthia's ambition in particular also I'm buying up some of the venusaur and blastoise cards from Celebrations, I actually hate that set with a passion but these two cards are going for less than $10 in M / NM condition so I don't really have anything to lose but a lot to gain if they experience a sudden surge in the future.
I agree with you about full art trainers, I love celebrations and I just got the set and that’s good enough for me but a base set venusaur and Blastoise reprint for less than $10 is wild
Honestly if you want the best bang for your buck, find the sets that have the biggest chase alt arts, and buy sealed product and sit on it. These are the sets that, years from now when the old alt art singles are way too expensive, people will want to buy sealed product to relive that experience of the chase.
Yes! I have a nice ETB collection of sets with chase cards, because ETBs are visually appealing and looking at collectors for black and white era for example an etb of plasma blast is like 1k where a booster box is way more, not sure just saying. Very good point!
I feel like Umbreon Vmax alt shouldn't be this expensive because there is a a lot out there, compared to the Latios and Latias alt which had a really short print run.
What a coincidence Im actually collecting every alt art card from battle styles to crown zenith right now because i feel those will spike up in about 10 years from now. Im playing the long wait game cause i got a feeling the alt art cards could potentially be just as expensive as the gold star cards.
I think of all the alt arts you listed: Celebi Arceus Palkia Dialga Beedrill Are the best options. I don't see any of those mons being under 100 in a few years time. Possibly Mewtwo as well due to fan fav status but it's pretty generally disliked at the moment so I won't lump it in.

I also think the trainer gallery blazikens from silver tempest have huge potential as well!!!!! along with the the red and pikachu trainer gallery from lost origins (i know they aren't alt arts but still)
@@TeamPokeColors The yellow borders are literally the biggest pet peeve of mine..... They literally made cards with the most stunningly beautiful artwork and ruined it with the horrendous yellow border 😭 That's why I only collect the japanese (bad) trainer gallery cards

Personally I disagree, took Umbreon less than a year to double, took 4 years for Latias & Latios to soar, SWSH is post 2020 boom era compared to Sun and Moon, wait a couple years and see, this is a long game 😁
You talk about nobody knowing about alt arts from battle styles but I feel like most people that are watching this video know about the Tyranitar, and it’s big brother the insane alt art blaziken. That’s why they’re on the higher end of the spectrum lol. Just my 2 cents

The issue with this take is when Latias and Latios card came out no one was buying Pokémon cards like they do now so not only was the hobby smaller so was the print runs. Now a days every set is getting printed into oblivion so your not gonna see the same market years from now cause everyone and there mama is gonna have sealed and graded singles from this era lol unfortunately your take is the opposite of what you should be doing really. These cards aren’t going to hold value there’s too many of them anyways not worth your money man. This is some bad advice bro
Dude they are $20-30 cards, chill out. People are sleeping on these low key alt art cards. I've been picking a few up as PSA 10s at low cost. Very easy to 2x 3x your money in a few years time.

There are a number of low pop PSA 10 SWSH alt arts for under $100, like ChillR Zapdos/Articuno, low pop, terrible centering. Spend bit more for the Moltres and you have a perfect set in 5-10 years time. I could make more money back from 7/8 alt arts than a Moonbreon PSA 10 - over 10k pop and everyone is stacking up ES BBs
i been on this alt art grind last 4 months. i’ve bought 20 alt arts between 30-300$. i’m extremely convinced brilliant stars alt arts specifically will age beautifully
I regret selling my Rayquaza V Max from Evolving Sky it was $175.00 and now it's $388 I🫠so regret that thanks for helping us not make the same mistake again.😅

Don't forget the Sun and Moon era hit cards too. Those are slowly gaining a lot of momentum right now.

The inteleon vmax alt art is so under priced IMO. I got it for $22 last week. VMAX are extremely hard to pull and it is a starter pokemon
