    This almost 75 year old Yank finds these guys hilarious and this sketch is very, very clever! I would like to start using the "well 'ard" phrase over here but I don't think anyone would understand me!

      Obviously they reused characters in different sketches but the theme of dogs might have been influenced by the dangerous dogs.
      The characters are probably inspired by something like football hooligans or typical young blokes you’d see in pubs - I don’t think you can pin it down to one specific event in time.

      BBC won't show any of the classic comedy anymore. Little Britain was made in early 2000s and they will never show a sketch from that ever again. Its sad really, comedy was always an escape. You laughed or were offended. That was the whole point.
