0:49 Proof slowing to 40km/h in a 100km/h zone while passing emergency services is a dumb law.
Xtra Moist the issue is that the other driver was concerned about the police instead of the road and wasn’t slowing to 40 when passing the police. If he did, there wouldn’t be a problem

No.1 lesson from this, for me, simply, speeding drastically reduces your margin for error, sometimes leaving one no room at all. Even when's another driver is entirely at fault. Simply-Always maintain a safe following distance, as all manner of emergency can arise at a split seconds notice. Stay safe out there every one. 🙏
I feel like SO MANY of these accidents could be avoided if people;
1: just waited and
2: checked their fkn blind spots.

TheGolden DumDum he’s not laughing
@@thegoldendumdum2466 Couldn't he drive at lower speed, you know FOR SITUATIONS EXACTLY LIKE THIS???
@@thegoldendumdum2466 Ideally, people should be driving at the speed that they can stop should something be on the road a sufficient cap for the vehicle in front of you which is not necessarily the speed limit. It is harder and probably impossible for a truck though if they insist on driving at the limit.
@@logon235 That was a bad spot for a crash really, the cars in front I mean. Seems like the sun could have blocked his view for a second there. But either way, no one expects a crash to happen right in front of them. Even if the truck was a car, he was going to hit them. Wouldn't have been as bad naturally.
I am more curious what caused the two cars to crash. Nothing seemed to be in front of them.

@@robbieaussievic the brutal lack of observance is what terrifies me.
Im lucky enough to of never been in any form of crash/altercation. . . But the amount ive seen over the years, ALWAYS the same stereotypes (P-plater in a commodore, cute ditzy bitch on her phone in a swift/I30/mazda3, mum with a 4X4). Always for the same reasons. On phone, straight through a red light, ignoring your right at a roundabout, overtake lanes on our cross country highways. . . Oh, and one very specific bunnings entrance near where i live.
It just boggles my mind that most of these people just arent aware theyre driving a half-ton bullet with only 4 small points of contact with a road. . . Are you just not aware that a car is a weapon? That it, like gun ownership, needs to be done with the utmost care and respect in order for it to work in the hands of civilians.
So far, i gotta say, middle aged tradies and truckies seem to be the safest drivers. The only people ive ever known to take defensive driving lessons. Drive regularly that the vehicle becomes and extension of the driver. Respect for the road via experience. And i have respect for THAT.
Rob Robbie , too right, I’ve seen these sort of situations and learnt to avoid them by slowing down near them. Like a mate who saw that the left lane had stopped and saw that the right was clear, so he kept going at the speed limit, and some fool pulled out straight in front of him.

Definitely one of the most intense DCOAs I've ever watched.
first one i've seen with so many actual collisions
Try watching russian car crashes. I actually thought, during the video, that it was more like russian car crash video, than an austalian one.
@@VariSun Exactly, I'm very much used to the intensity and just ridiculous situations on Russian roads, which are exacerbated by the bad weather conditions and 0 crash-rating cheap VAZ and UAZ and bad driving. Obviously really bad and fatal accidents do occur in AU and US but DCOA is generally light-hearted and funny with stupid fender bender a and stuff. But this one had a more serious tone with more violent accidents.
8:18 "Pull me closer... Why don't you pull me close" WHAM!

8:33 "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" lol
How many times do we see cars stop to let someone across and they get cleaned up by someone either the same side or coming the other way.
Yeah, that was the biggest pattern for me in this video. I'm wondering whether it's best to just never leave gaps like that... But in bad traffic what do you do for those stuck trying to turn.
that's the most idiotic behaviour i cant understand.
1.when i have traffic stopped by my side, i do not fly in next lane like nothing, but i slow down and i slow down even more when there is a side road and i anticipate a car crossing in a gap.
2.when im crossing through the stopped traffic, then i anticipate that some idiot could be flying in that empty lane.
3. and if you are letting someone pass through, then check you rvm and be ready to honk if you see an idiot flying down that empty lane.
Unprotected turning over multiple lanes should not exist. It's inherently unsafe.
It's basic hazard perception and is taught in the written and driving tests. Can't see oncoming traffic, don't go. Simples.
You're not supposed to queue across an intersection, T or otherwise. It is up to the driver crossing to determine if gap is big enough.

First lesson on a bike slow down through intersection.
@@lukesulli1946 Ohhh yeah! It's counter-intuitive as you just want to get out of there before you get hit, but it works... 14:06 One of the more violent crashes on this channel.
@@thegoldendumdum2466 who's fault was it in that clip?
Both drivers were breaking the law. The car shouldn't have been out in the intersection waiting for a red light to create an opening, that's illegal. The motorbike undoubtedly ran a red - the opposing light turned green a split second after the collision.
is it bad that in my head, the monsters inc. theme song was playing over in my head when he hit the car?

i mean, what purpose does it serve? screaming? why is it such a woman thing to do.
@@domiy13 getting smacked in the face with an airbag hurts. Not to mention that wrist fractures are common with airbag deployment. Not many people have a high pain threshold
NZ SuperTard Don’t make it a female thing. It was an accident that obviously hurt. You’d scream like a little bitch too.
This is why I slow down in a two lane road when one lane has slowed or stopped. I’m preparing for someone to pull out in front of me.
Exactly! I'll almost come to a stop.
3:46 Had one of those moments on my bike a few years back. Some momentary thing caught my attention to the side, quick glance, look back and the cars were stopped. I did however manage to get the bike stopped with JUST a bit of front tire rubber touching the bumper. Just a butterfly kiss really. Enough to shake me up though. That gap closes distressingly fast when you are behind the braking curve.
10:14 I think this is the first time I've seen pedestrian safety tech in action. The M-Class' bonnet popping up at the back on impact to reduce the risk of the pedestrian, or motorcyclist, going through the windscreen for anyone who didn't see it. :)
@@RookieROX but unnecessary if you consider a couple of preventative factors. Look up when driving, and pedestrians, stop look listen...etc.

14:43 this driver has no business pulling a trailer if doesn't know how to handle it.
and obviously he doesn't.
I think he had loaded it wrongly, so the weight distribution was wrong. Being off by a small amount, can have a crazy big affect on the handling of a trailer. Especially at higher speeds.
His trailer weight was wrong it shouldn't have the mass in that way
Once a trailer starts to snake it takes alot of experience to fix it and most people do the wrong thing anyway by slowing down 😂
@@holliechard6429 from experience (and learning from a lot of professional truck drivers) the ONLY thing you can do is slow down!! then reload the trailer properly.
@@holliechard6429
As opposed to what? Speeding up?

Gotta hand it to them though.. They bounce off Cars and get back up like champions.
@@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns As a motorbike rider in Melbourne, i wholeheartedly agree with you.
@@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns I think it's much better than the USA.
Statistically more people die on USA roads than our roads.
Motorcycles aren't about transport, they're about lifestyle, camaraderie and fun.
13:05 he most definitely was not laughing, he knew what was going to happen and for anyone to think he was laughing is sick in the head. You could tell he was trying to avoid it but unfortunately he had to hit something and that was the ute. was a traumatic event to go through, it nearly made me cry thinking about how this guy will live for the rest of life if he knew that person died.... grow up everyone
Wtf are you talking about? ‘Grow up’, ‘you’re sick in the head’.
Bit of an extreme reaction to people understandably confused as it sounded like laughter.
When I die, and they show me percentages of how my life was spent: vids like these will probably be in the double digits.....
I'm not ashamed, but I'm not proud
14:05 I really hope that guy is ok
I thought his was particularly brutal. Once again a car runs over a bika
So negative
@@Lesloi6227that bike was running a red by the looks, can't chance shit on a bike
@@oefox Yep, the bike ran the red. Mind you, the car driver should have been paying more attention.

0:42 is the most hysterical over-reaction I've ever heard - what are you screaming for?
It goes on for 10 seconds after its actually done and dusted.
@@jazzycat8917 There was a baby in the car so what? They thought they would pile an extra helping of trauma onto the childs plate? Pathetic
I've never been hit in the face by an airbag, but they were already upset seeing the crash coming. Airbag just made it worse. Try some sympathy-won't cost you anything. Not like they were at fault or anything...
@@danielwilson5102 It's an survival instinct that's older then speech or us using tools. That high-pitched screaming is an "everybody come and help save women's and children's lives" signal and evolved to help in the ongoing survival of communities. Really outdated, but hey, biology's slow...
@@jazzycat8917 Your point? The baby only cried once it heard the women carrying on hysterically.

yes it’s very hard to watch
The First car production started in 1908 (The Model T). The first traffic light was put on in 1910 (it had STOP and PROCEED indicator). How on earth are people still so bad at driving and obeying the signs 110 years after is mind boggling.
