Great casting! Carey mulligan is excellent. The sky is the limit for mr coopers talent.
Carey Mulligan demonstrates what a skilled and sensitive actor can do, great work.
The film is a masterpiece. When I saw it in a provincial movie theatre the cinema was packed and no one left until the end of the credits roll. The movie was applauded as were the names of Mulligan and Cooper.

Could Carey Mulligan be more..... anything in this beautiful film? (best bit performance by anyone ever in Saltburn) Bradley Cooper knew his talent. Cooper is a great actor. Never better in a sea of his own mastery of entering a key subtle moment with the creative as artist. And star. Give them both best in this year's "best" races Maestro is adult wit, stunning cinematography and a seamless sense of history.

Exactly Bernstein has a face with artful,with femininity,with sensational with mysterious, passion and with very attractive facial expressions.
The film has stimulated me to delve into the music and lives of the Bernsteins . There’s much available on line. Many thanks to all involved .

Bradley Cooper è una persona molto seria. Ha realizzato il film con grande rispetto nei confronti del protagonista. Perché Bradley a differenza di Sofia Coppola si è fatto da solo, non è figlio d'arte. Ci sono figli d' arte molto bravi come le figlie di Gigi Proietti e soprattutto Alessandro Gassman. Ma Sofia Coppola è una strega che insieme a Priscilla ex di Elvis hanno creduto di fare la furbata non avendo pietà della povera Lisa Marie Presley distrutta dal dolore per la morte del suo amatissimo Benjamin. Ma il film Priscilla è stato un disastro senza precedenti perché negli Stati Uniti nessuno crede a una sola parola di Priscilla. Invece il film di Bradley Cooper avrà un incredibile successo perché è stato fatto con grande amore e studio. Non per vendetta contro una nipote Riley e per fare soldi.

Cooper is obviously a good man. Better than Berstein was id venture. He was kind of a predatory creep who hurt many people not just his wife and kids. Cooper doesnt have the undercurrent of narcissism or the powerful charisma Bernstein had, but its still a brilliant film. I was hoping for more music, since thats why Bernstein is historically important. Not his sex life .
They are pro in promoting their project but everything sounds so fake
Who knew that a bozo character from the tv show Alias would help start the acting journey of Bradley C?
A pity that Cooper just made it a vanity-proiject, he was just show-boating in every scene of a movie, begging for an ocsar, instead of a nunaced, finely calibrated performance that would have done justice to the compelx musical genius that Bernstein was. He looked very pale in comparison to Mullligan. The script was beyond poor (as there was no professional screenwriter) and as someone very connected to arts and classical music this was one of the most disappointing cinema visits in a lot of years for me. I saw it on a Friday night (of opening week), there were only six other people in the entire cinema, one of them left after about two thirds and the others were continuously sighing in annoyment after all the social dilemma-clichee stuffed scenes where one would have expected music and Bernstein's work instead. A politically correct trash-piece, fitting for modern times. Bernstein would turn in his grave at the lack of understanding of the money-greedy filmmakers.
Bernstein was doing a dramatic acting routine, jumping up and down like a clown. He was not doing his job as a conductor, which is to show the audience what the symphony sounds like. I posted a video on my CZcams channel showing how he took a wrecking ball to Beethoven's symphonies manipulating the sound to make whole sections sound noisy and terrible. The press treated him like a sacred cow. Everything he touched turned to gold, even though his conducting included vandalism.
Christa Ludwig, who most likely knew Bernstein better than you do, and who worked with him very closely throughout many years clearly pointed out that Bernstein was not putting on a show for the audiences. According to her he was always very much absorbed in the music and completely authentic regardless whether it was a concert or a rehearsal.
There's nothing authentic about saying on television that Beethoven was bad at orchestration because he has the trumpets sticking out and they're drowning out everybody else. A close look at the performance he just did shows that he added more trumpets to create a trumpet heavy sound. He was absorbed with trashing Beethoven's music and reputation, because he wasn't smart enough to write a symphony. Jumping up and down like a clown is what you should expect from a guy who wrote fake symphonies. You must really hate Beethoven. @@onkelgreifenklau
Bradley Cooper is a overrated actor. The Academy please, Don't nominate him, much less award him as best actor next year. He has many better performances than Bradley's.
