When you unzipped the tent… 😮😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 even though it was a bit crazy, I was still in awe of all your Hoyas! My husband flat out told me not to try to get up to 400+ Hoyas. I just started laughing. I also have a list so I don’t end up buying something I already have. Love these Hoyas!
Well, don't tell him the number! :D The tent did look a bit crazy, I prefer the more "in order" look, but I also admire several growers who totally have jungle vibes in their grow tents, but my mind won't allow that :D
😂😂😂. You’re so funny sometimes. I have to say that I think I’m going to start talking to myself like I’m recording a video because it appears to help you to keep doing the frustrating stuff without just giving up. My inspiration was “I’m losing my temper now” as you calmly kept working and talking…🤣🤣 I love it!Thank you, Miro!!! You’re the best!❤️❤️

such a daunting hoya forest...which means a lot of work. Now I try to reduce my collection, only to keep my true love, such as undulata, paradisea, versteegii..
Excellent problem solving I like watching your approach. Personally in my limited experience I have never yet regretted taking a hoya out of a pot because something just aint right.
I just stumbled upon your account and have to say... WOW! what an incredible and impressive hoya collection! I've been collecting for 5+ years and have nowhere near the size collection you have!!
My Hoya Pubicalyx splash has out grown an 8" pot, and a 12" beautiful trellis. Now, it's attempting to grow completely on one side of the trellis and leaning to the other side. I actually had to add another trellis, to keep it from getting so "top-heavy" or "sideways-tipping". It was/is the third hoya I've ever owned, and I never expected it to grow so crazily. I think it's trying to start it's own jungle vibe in my room. But for now, she's trellised and looks happier. I did pick off 3 old yellow leaves. But she's lookin' good now.
Thank you for sharing Looking forward to the next one! Believe it or not, for the first time in months Im almost “done” with my plant chores, 8 repots left Until like next week when everything decided to suddenly grow at lightning speed and turn into a mess again 😅 The never ending plant chores (at least never ending for longer than a week or so)
Hahaha :D I keep fearing what will I do when I reach the "I am now done!" moment, but as you said, there's no end in sight - and even when there is, it's all just an illusion. XD
@@BasiePlants And even when the normal chores are done….. there will always be things like dusting every individual leaf 😅 The never ending chores we choose to torture ourselves with and call it a hobby/passion
Your paradisea looks amazing! Such a beautiful plant. Miro, I would love more videos on trellising. I keep having the problem of trellising a hoya then the vine dies back. I don't know if I'm doing it too soon?? Anyway I loved looking at your whole collection! It's stunning!
That paradisea needed some though love. I think both looked good in the end! Impessive considering where it started. Hope they don't freak out too much.
Oh my I am so far behind , I only have 50 and 1/2 are new babies. I am going to use your info to make cards for instructions on each of them. Hopefully I will get a third cabinet this fall before it get cold in Wisconsin,USA.
I’m at the point where I am ready to chuck the hoyas that do absolutely nothing but take up space.😂 I can’t make them happy.. and have given up trying 🤔
I recently faced my fears with my Fungii. I'm pretty sure that the original trellis was my very first trellising effort. I had used a round metal trellis that had "branches" going through the center of the circle. "Loop the vine through and around those center branches," she said. "It'll look cute," she said. She (I) was a dumb @$$ who didn't think about what I would do when the plant outgrew the trellis. First, I attempted to cut through the trellis to release the vines. The answer to the question, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," is YES. There is no breaking it. So, I had no choice but to try to unwind Fungii and hope for the best. I had to sacrifice a couple of leaves and probably should head to church to ask for forgiveness for the language that I dropped during the process, but managed to get it done. I have since moved Fungii and all of my trellised hoyas to u-shaped bamboo trellises. I think it'll be better for the plants . . . and my soul . . . going forward.
I recently retrellised my fungii too! I DEFINITELY used a tiny trellis for my plant and will regret it in a month or so lol, but it is all I had on hand - plus, I am not really sure where the heck could I fit a larger plant. I mean, I know cutting it is an option but.... I also want a huge fungii low-key. I have seen some that are as tall as me and with 30-40 umbels at once. GOALS! But also, again, where?! :D Glad you retrellised your plant sucessfully!
@@BasiePlants The common refrain: "Where the heck will I put it?" Purge three, buy ten. Been there, doing that. I just bought eight Anthuriums in about 2 1/2 months as if I have space for plants that get gigantic. 🙄 Since Fungii was one of my first hoyas, it staked a claim on some prime real estate. I can accommodate vertical growth for it where it is. In addition to the fact that it was looped around that circle trellis about a gazillion times, its two blooming peduncles had the umbels flowering right into the soil. I mean, c'mon Fungii, get your act together! To its credit, though, it didn't miss a beat having been repotted and (brutally) re-trellised. Hope your Fungii gives you those 30-40 umbels!!

Do I have to keep it in an enclosed space for it to grow healthy? Thank you for your advice

Ohh Miro be a sweet heart and please make a video about h. Hypolasia or just tell about the care requirements in a random video. I would love to hear, what you have to say about. 🫰🏻
Hypolasia needs a trellis to grow well -- coming from someone who had it grow well on a trellis and then tried hanging (didn't work out). Otherwise it is easy. H. pulchra hasn't been the easiest for me, though it should be simple & fast. I might have been unlucky with my cuttings :)
