- Building a new jump and sending crazy kicker ramp gaps - MTB dream yard gets a new take off to ride, so I send big tricks on my dirt jump bike before creating crazy kicker ramp gaps and long jump challenges! Would you ride this spot?
After a long 3 weeks of travelling it's good to be back home in the MTB dream yard on my custom Haibike dirt jump bike and the best thing is that the line is dry and rideable so I get to work with some trail maintenance to clean up all the weeds and grass before building a new take off ready for a shreddy! After completing the new lip I get to work at riding the new ultimate fun jump and throw down some sick tricks for your viewing pleasure! After stomping a huge trick to some classical music I then decide to get out the MTB hopper ramps and make some crazy gap jump in between the two jumps to add some excitement to the session! After this gets out of hand I have an impromptu long jump challenge followed by riding with Kara Beal before she hits the deck hard!!! Would you ride the dream yard?

Had it been more than just a couple feet off the ground and she likely would have. Poor girl didn't know to recognize it and pull up on the handlebars. Next time I'd recommend fullface helmet

Agreed, particularly if that was the first time she'd ever been winded -- you have no idea what's going on when it happens if you've never had it happen before and it feels like you're dying.

@@davidf2281 I fell off a wall and landed on my back when I was a kid and was badly winded. It felt like the harder i tried to breathe the more I struggled for air, as you say it felt like i was going to die!
had my fair share of slams and being winded. strangely, you kind of get used to it after a few times.
I just love how positive Sam is! He makes me think every day will be EPIC.

I love that you add Kara's parts to the video. Shows you don't have to be a shredder to have fun even if everyone else its. Makes MTB feel accessible to everyone. Always showing people its about the fun first and foremost.

That slam is possibly the funniest thing I've seen this year. Sam's reaction🤣 super witheld. He laughed so hard at himself when he slammed at Audi 9s. Don't know how he didn't here
Love Sam's calm and reassuring response out of experience to her slam. That can make the difference between full blown panic and never daring to ride the feature again or just sucking it up and learning a lesson. That's what's awesome about riding with much more experienced riders.

Seems she'd do better to wear a fullface helmet next time she tries that if she even decides to try it again. Also usually when that happens you want to pull up on the handlebars so that u land relatively flat instead of nose diving and face planting

not an easy situation to get out of when you have requested no spotters, luckily it was probably the safest way to fall, superficial injury aside (it might be cheaper to break a wrist than a tooth depending, but of course that is optional)

Edit: Kara... Please get a mouth guard when riding the skinnies, we already have Sam's sexy smile, we don't need another one. 😆
I feel like audi nines this year was the only time I've ever seen Sam do a bike flip? I was super stoked when I saw him do it.
@@dylan-5287 - Yeah it's only big jumps or the airbag and he hasn't played w/ that as much as he did before he moved.... Now he lost his jumps but I'm hoping he can fight it and get the yard back, or move to a bigger place w/ more land. LoL

Imho she has to get that core strength up I love the skills she's developed but to me it looks like the bike is in control currently... once strength is up even just a little she should just be able to tell the bike who's boss and lift that front wheel up! Hope she's okay from that off

Your opposite whip is a handy trick to have in the bag, whipping that way is a bit wilder but can be very beautiful in a taj mihelich way. Keep doing them!

Weird to say it but...nice job KB. Crashing is part of the game. Falling off skinnies absolutely sucks but you've got to fall off sometimes in order to learn to ride them. Sometimes it leaves you making frightening sounds as you gasp for air, but as long as you live to ride another day that's all that matters. Glad you're alright.
You look at the comments on the competition videos, including mine, and half are like "hey show Sam's run!" I love it. This is such a great channel and not just for people who were already fans of slope style.

Wow, good thing that face plant Kara did was in the grass. That was surreal focus how she tried to ride it out until the end. She's progressed much since her fist videos with Tom.
I have never been a fan of mountain biking but since I started to watch these videos I think it's great I started to watch these videos because of a video suggestion of Sam riding a petrol powered bike and I have never stopped watching 👀😀😄
