Hard to understand when you first start but investing if good quality tools really is the way to go
It saves so much money in the long haul
I’ve been an appliance service tech and installer for 30 years this year and I have a use these brands and these tools and I love them. I wish I had known about these tools when I had started, it would have saved me a lot of stripped fittings, stripped out screws and other headaches. If you showed up as an apprentice to me. I would think you’re here to take your job seriously and you’ve done your research.
I used to buy cheap or affordable but at the end of the day you end up spending more money, just buy quality and it will last you a long time. Recently got all that expensive but good quality tools.

You are phenomenal in the way you explain each tool, I look at you how much love you say ..... well, you do it for advertising, especially for those who do not know them, but who knows such tools, especially The ones from Wera know what it is and what they can do. They are indestructible and almost unique among other hand tools companies. I, because I live in their country, Germany, I use almost all my tool arsenal, from Knipex and Wera, I have a very varied range from Knipex and I can say by heart that there is no exist manual tool other than Knipex, when It comes to the pliers, because, as it is said in Europe: "From Germany the exact time on the globe is given (the rules and norms in the electric, manual and electric tools and)" .... and so. And I keep them, care for them, clean them and anoint them when they need it, none looks old or damaged. I do not look at money when it comes to buying a professional tool, because they bring me the money. Congratulations on clips and continue so ....
Personally I think the Klein tools full size conduit cutter is a must have, some people may be faster with a hack saw, but you’re Guaranteed a straight precise cut with the hand held cutter, and it has a built in reamer
I have a pair of the offset head Cobalt cutters. They are awesome for doing repair work on anything Eve's or sub areas. As far as cutting nails fly so they don't leave a big bump behind.
Can’t go wrong with the big 3 for professional power tools. I use Milwaukee M12 for my bag stuff (a light and my install driver) and I use Makita 18v for my heavy duty stuff like circular saws and bolt busting impacts.

idk man, even if my company weren't a Milwaukee company, i'd still rock that M12 fuel all day. Small, lightweight, ergonomic. And even when it comes to torque, we see it regularly eats bigger, clunkier impacts for breakfast. They are leagues ahead of anything else.
You can even get a hex drive 1/2 inch chuck for your impact for everything else

Love my Knipex. I have those small bolt cutters, as well as various sizes of the Cobras and Pliers Wrench. Now that i have them, the Knipex Twin Grip is an awesome plier in the right application.....which I find myself in a lot. You need to try them.
Nice tools, great quality and worth the money. I have a lot of knipex and wera tools, wiha and pb swiss also make great screwdrivers. Wiha also have some nice insulated pliers too. I use the wiha screwdrivers with torque limiters on daily basis. You can do another video about the testing equipment you use.

I work for a low voltage data & security company, and I am literally the only person who ever uses a tool belt. The only other person I've ever seen use one? He had well over a decade of experience as an electrician. Something about data guys is averse to having quick, convenient access to their tools on the hip. Instead of bending down and rummaging through their bag or descending alllll the way down from their lift just to get pliers or something

I cut a piece of steel cage with my forged strippers and it FUCKED them up good lol. Had to get a new pair tho but damn it sucked. They were just starting to look worn in too.

Thank you! So it’s actually like $300 and they have smaller bags that are in the $100-200 range. I haven’t found anything else that works as well but i would just use what you can until you are ready to purchase one or decide it’s time ya know

Idk what style tape measure you use but the lufkin niteeye is by far my favorite on the market. Gone through 2 in 4 years but the green on black is 1000000x easier to see in any situation, especially poor lighting.
Don’t they not have magnets? I don’t see how an electrician can get by without a magnet on their tape. I’ve tried all of tapes and haven’t landed on my favorite
You really should try the kraftform plus 932a less of a screwdriver more of a pry bar but you won't be sorry big black handle hard to miss

I’d go even further and recommend the surge version of the impacts. The power difference is minimal but the noise difference is huge, especially for your hearing

Over 5 years on my m12 surge no issues added a boot from the regular fuel line and its still handling headlock 6in without an issue.
I can totally notice the power difference between my m18 surge and a m18 gen 3 impact. But your not busting bolts with either so it's not really a big deal. I love my surge, it's my go-to, but I wish the rubber near the collar didn't get so dirty underneath or discolouration. I've seen some older ones that have been beaten up and they look bad.

A good tool pack is always a good investment. I’ve eyed Veto but they don’t have enough added value for me to switch from Klein. Price difference is too much. My Klein has held up for the last 3 years. Maybe if it fails in a year or two I’ll grab one. Maybe.

I think some people like Vessel over the Wera hand tools because of the handle. Also, I've heard the Wera wrenches aren't durable. Great wrenches still.

I am a journeyman. I do service work now but almost all of these are 3+ years old and have been pretty heavily used I just keep em clean

The leather belt and pouch are $160. The Veto bag, over $200. If you're an apprentice and you show up with these things you will be laughed of the job site. Buy decent tools to start. Buy Gucci tools once you can afford them. If you want to invest in something high end that will actually do you some good. Buy a quality pair of boots.

This was never intended for apprentices. It was intended to be the first tools I would upgrade when it’s time. I do think that anyone who would make fun of you for showing up to the job site with these tools isn’t worth caring about. People like that will make fun no matter what you do. Especially if it’s you going above and beyond
