AquaBliss SF100 Review: Is It Bliss or a Miss?

  • We have pretty nasty water here in our Central Florida home with extremely high total dissolved solids (TDS). Depending on where you live, a high TDS isn't necessarily a bad thing because some minerals may be beneficial in drinking water. See our water testing videos on this channel to see exactly what's in our local municipal water. We filter our drinking and cooking water thoroughly, and thought maybe filtering our shower water with the AquaBliss SF100 might provide some protection.
We installed the AquaBliss SF100 in our shower. It was inexpensive and easy to install. The water seems to feel a little softer, maybe due to the minerals the filter contains and distributes in its filtering process. AquaBliss does state there may be no reduction in TDS, but after seeing a 30 PPM increase in our results, we are left wondering if anything at all is filtered in the process.

Of course you saw leaking, you put the plumbers tape on backwards. Always put it on clockwise so it doesn't undo itself as you thread it. Rookie mistake but easily solved

Instead of simply testing for just TDS (I imagine adding vitamins and minerals WOULD increase those) I would like to see a test comparing before and after of the nasty stuff like lead and chlorine.

      @@KingCrimson1981hey hi, i have a doubt
Why the tds is increased and even the tds got increased wont it damage our hair as hight tds means high minerals right? Anyhow it will remove the hard substances like chlorine and magnesium which is hard
After removing these substances makes water soft?? If water is soft then tds should also be low right?

Hi Jeannie! We're working on some other whole home filtration systems, but you bring up a great point. We're not sure these do much of anything at all. We're going to test a few additional shower filters and post the results here. Thanks for inspiring us - and watching!

@@GiveThemWelldid you ever test others? I am trying to reduce hardness. I live in an area of the US with the hardest possible water. I don’t care about the chlorine removal stuff , just the hardness. When I go to SC where the water is soft and chlorinated I am fine, it’s the hardness I need to get rid of.

Central Florida water is incredibly nasty. Way too much chemical dumping over the years.

Lots of "progress" and unchecked military fun we're afraid. Just saw some builders dump about 100 gallons of paint into a hole in the ground and cover it up.
